Four Pink Blushes for Spring

4/24/2018

Blushing with Spring

Spring has finally started to pop up here. Although rain is necessary for maintaining good agriculture and nature in general, I was starting to get way too overwhelmed with the quantity of water pouring every single day - plus the storms, with thunders and crazy winds - and getting sick because I would get wet, the cold...you can imagine the drill.

February and March Favourites '15

4/10/2015

So yeah, two months of favourites in one post. And you would think that I would have a lot to share. I actually do...but since I've been experiencing with so many products, I had to condense everything into what I've been really loving.
I'm still working on processing tones of products, my thoughts, taking photos, editing and writing. So yes...I might be able to do a specially week with a new review per day...what do you guys think?
Anyway, let's jump into the favourites.

Guys...Girls...We need to talk really seriously about the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. I got this palette in February and I've been loving it ever since. Whenever I have a big day or an event were I want/need to have my eye makeup all done without any type of creasing, it's this that use. It gets to the point were I was out of my house for more than 10 hours and my eye makeup was fully intact...If that's not good, I don't know what it is.

After falling in love with Sugarbomb from Benefit and during a trip to a Sephora to get a special gift for a special lady - no worries, you guys will eventually understand for who it was in a couple of days - I looked to Coralista and to Rockateur and...they made it into my stash.
Coralista is a beautiful peach blush that I'll be sure to rock during this upcoming spring and summer. It gives a gorgeous look to my cheeks and I don't know what I've been doing this whole time without it.
Rockateur on the other side is a darkish pink. It's my " I don't know what a heck I should place on my face" kinda of blush. It doesn't matter the look or the event, it will look amazing and making me look good.

For those who don't know, during this current month I've been playing with some new Korea produts - reviews are coming, I promise! - and of the things that I really wanted to get was a Lip Concealer. After some research, some out of stock options, I ended up going for the The SAEM Lip Concealer. I really like how it comes on a tube, making quite easy to apply and later spread the product - it also makes it nice for MUAs since it's more hygienic. It's not drying at all, leaving a "some-kind-of" powdery feel. Almost like velvet.

Also, as I mentioned I really loved the Natural Eyes Palette, but there was another eye product that really caught my eye - the Kiko Color Up shadow stick in 10. Because it's matte, I can use it as my base for any type of look (it's what I've been doing) and I can see how this guy is also helping my eye makeup to look polished and "uncreased" for a little longer.

Lastly but not least, the Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Primer is so far my favourite primer. I love it's packaging, smell and texture. Doesn't mess with my makeup at all - I'm looking at you porefessional - and doesn't have that really usual "silicone based" texture that most primers have.  Although I want to get a more hydrating primer and try out the new Etude House primer, I'll for sure repurchase this guy without thinking twice.

So these are my favourites. Besides this the only thing I can really call a favourite is the Assassin's Creed Unity and my beloved Xbox (yes, I'm currently playing video games)

Thank you everyone for reading!
Take care, have a nice day!

Diana.

Rimmel London Stay Blushed in 001 Pop of Pink

Cream blushes are a relative new thing for me since I would found them way too messy for me and not that pigmented (I was checking the wrong blushes apparently). But after testing out the Boujois Cream blush last year I finally realised that maybe I just needed to check a little bit more and I would for sure found really amazing ones. And yes, this is a good one.
When I first noticed that they were available here I decided to get one to test and see if it was good or not (I mean, I was still a bit unsure about cream blushes from the drugstore...I didn't wanted to end up with 4 or 5 colours of something that I really don't like). Now, how good is this?
The texture is really nice and easy to blend; it's really pigmented - the kind that we need to be careful so we don't look like a clown. It provides a really natural and pretty look. the colour - 001 Pop of Pink - is perfect for everyday wear, no matter if it's summer or winter. Also, the packaging is a real charm in my opinion - a nice and sleek tube that allows you to control how much you want to get or not and it's fuss free and easy to carry on my make up bag during travels.
So yes, this is approved. For 7,5€ (our price here at least) I'm really happy and I want to get more colours in the future.

Take care, have a nice day!

With Love,
Diana

On my Face , Spring Edition

5/12/2014

Today's Look
First, I'll again apologize for the bad lighting. I'm still working on getting proper lighting and setting for my photos. I also want to apologize on my really weird expressions...yes I really need to work on that as well.
For weird reason I decided that I should share what I used today on my face...let's enjoy that.
So, besides the fact that I cleansed, moisturised and used eye cream , I applied my Primed and Poreless Primer from Too Faced which is my favourite primer. I really should use him more but I'm always afraid of over using him because I really like him and I don't have any backup with me at the time (crazy I know). After that I applied my Shadow Insurance Primer from Too Faced on my eyelid and under eye are mostly because I really need to use up this product - It doesn't do too much to my oily lids but I can't just buy another bottle of primer, other wise I'll forget about this one and it will be a bigger waste. now, finally into concealer (yes I concealed first because of the "cream-to-powder" texture of big easy) I decided to use Healthy Mix Concealer from Bourjois under my eyes and the Cream Camouflage Concealer from Catrice on my spots and marks. Now it was finally the time to apply my Big Easy BB Cream from Benefit, specially on the centre of my face.
For my eyes, I had to fill my eyebrows with my Eyebrow Stylist and my Eyebrow Filler (both from catrice) because it doesn't matter if I'm rocking the perfect eye look - without the eyebrows nice and filled, it won't look the same. After that it was time to do my favourite combo of the moment with a twist : I applied Painterly Paint Pot from M.A.C. all over my lid to camouflage the discolouration, following it with my beloved Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit from Benefit. Now because I wanted a pop of colour, I decided to apply a tiny bit of my Cranberry Eyeshadow from M.A.C. on my crease and Flashy Liner waterproof in 13 Flashy Violet from Sephora on the under part of my eyes (I'm terrible with describing that area, I know). Finally it was time to brighten my eyes with the Longlasting Eye Pencil Waterproof in 100 Pearly Bird from Catrice, curl my lashes with by Lash Curler from Better and apply my Mini-They're Real Mascara from Benefit.
To complete the look, I decided that it was time to set everything with my Mattifying Powder Waterproof from Catrice, swipe a bit of Seduction Powder Blush by Nars on my check bones and of course apply a bit of colour on my lips with Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Never Say Never from Nars.

I hope you liked this, I promise I'll be working on getting better shots!
take care everyone, have a nice day!

Diana

Blush for Spring | 2014

3/23/2014

This year I decided to upgrade the game and recommend a few blushes for Spring as well. I have option for both high-end and drugstore. They aren't that many, but I think that they are all nice options.

Benefit Sugarbomb BoxPowder Blush
Mine is from their Sugarlicious kit but as you all know, it's also available in a full-size version. I really like this blush. It's a really pretty light peach tone that brightens but my face.I used to be afraid of him but today, it's actually one of my favourites.

Nars Seduction Blush
Ok, the colour looks really scary but this was released last year as part of their Spring collection. Yes you read it right, Spring collection. I think that it's a really nice blush for when we have really light make up on our eyes but have a nice bold lip. Personally for me it's a  blush that you use at any season, but since I'm making this post I had to talk about him.

Nars Outlaw Blush
A more pinkish and with a few shimmer (it's not much really!). This one can be used with different looks, compared to Seduction since it's a bit more...live? I don't know. It just a pretty colour that speaks Spring to me.

Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender
I'm starting to hit pan on this one. It's a cream blush with a "cream-to-powder" finish. Looks lovely with any look and doesn't melt with the sun and high temperature. A Repurchase will be made once this one is out.

MeMeMe Blush me! in Pink
Part of a The Secret Bag special edition, this precious just really screams Spring to me. It's pink, easy to wear and carry on your make up bag and affordable. And the Fluffy blush is always a nice plus.

Sleek Blush-by-3 in Sugar
What can I say about this? First, Demerara is a perfect dupe for Seduction. You can use it in the same exact way, paying only a fraction of the price. Muscovado isn't exclaty the best Spring colour I know, but Turbinado is a really interesting pick if you want to get a more toasted peach look.

Would you like to see a lipstick post? I hope that you guys liked this. I'm really sorry for the quality but, Spring decided to take a small vacation when I took this photos and the light was really bad. (She took the vacation, but my allergies didn't...)

Take care, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
