Inside my Make Up Bag
7/25/2016
I think at some point, we all wonder what's inside each other make up bag. Finally I took the time to share what's inside mine. Everyone has different tastes and opinions regarding how their make up bags are - someone people like to take half of the their make up collection, others like to keep it within the minimum. Personally, I like the idea of being prepared for any occasion but not overwhelming my make up bag with items. Things like foundation and primers have no space here for example. I might think about adding a small container of concealer and a travel sized mascara for example. And more blotting paper. But let's see what I actually have inside :
Compact Mirror
This mirror was actually a gift of my brother, which is why I decided to place it here without thinking twice. I might have a mirror on my powder compact but sometimes when I am just retouching my lipstick, it's better to use this once. It means there will be less chances of me breaking ( again) my favourite powder compact.
Clinique Chubby Stick in 14 Curvy Candy
I got this guys from a Sephora Sale last year and I decided it was the perfect for my make up bag. Let's imagine I forget to pack lipstick one day...I'll always have this guy on hand. It's not super pigmented but it is enough. It's also moisturising, which really helps considering that my lips sometimes decide to get chapped. I'm curious about other shades they might have.
Sephora Eyeshadow Jumbo Pencil in Beige
I also got this from the sales section last year. I used to have this shoved inside my drawer but later I decided to have it here. Let's imagine I don't have time in the morning to do my eye make up but I happen to have 5 extra minutes before class. I can easily apply this little guy on my lips and that's it. Eye look done without any type of fuzz or issues.
Sephora waterproof Brown Pencil
I think we can all notice how much I love this pencil. I'm actually on the hunt for a similar pencil. I like to have this little guy for the same reason I like to have my eyeshadow jumbo pencil - I can just line my waterline with this and I'll have a simple make up look done without any issues or problems. I can also do retouches to other make up looks with it. Seriously, having this on hand is a good thing.
O Boticário EGO Woman dolce roll-on Perfume
This is probably one of funnier things I own here. Every time I pull this out people look at me and ask what am I using and how good it smells. I like roll-on perfumes because they are easy to apply and carry. I tend to always apply perfume in the morning time but, some times I like to retouch it and this is just perfect. I might get a new one soon since this one is more than half-way trough.
Essence Powder Brush
This is the cheapest brush I own. It isn't spectacular or anything special but does the job - applying powder and retouch my make up during the day. And that's all I ask/need to. Although I might switch for a retractable brush one of these days - I used to want one from Too Faced because of how cute it was.
Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof
A staple in my make up bag. This is my favourite powder - it is transparent, super fine and lightweight and takes care of any oiliness or shine from my face without any major issue. It also doesn't leave that powdery/cakey look that some powders tend to do. I once broke the compact of one of these and I was seriously heart broken because of it.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
If you every wanted to try out the Clarins Lip Perfector but you don't want or can spend that amount of money on a tinted lip balm, check this one! It's the perfect combination of a lip gloss and lip balm. When I am no wearing the clinique chubby stick, I go for this one. I also like to use it on top of lip tints. It's super moisturising and makes my lips look a lot more healthier and good looking.
Lastly but not least, I might also have random lipsticks inside my make up bag - here yo can see cinnamon kiss from Too Faced which was what I had been wearing on the previous day. You might also find NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and the Sephora Lip Stains here on a daily basics.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Take care.

Currently Wishing
6/26/2016
I think I don't do one of these for a long, long time. Once in a while I think it's okay to do wishlists. (I mean, it's not like we are spending actual money by doing them). The one I have here will probably be the guideline for repurchasing some products that are finishing or for things I want to get later on my Birthday. It's a little misture of everything ( I'm open to other suggestions to be honest ) So here are the items I am currently craving and why:
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer
I have been a really good girl, because I currently just own one concealer. Yes, just ONE concealer and I really want to have a second option. Although I feel tempted to get a concealer palette someone, I have been thinking about getting another "wand concealer". It's more easier to apply in my opinion. Regarding this one in particular, I have been reading really positive reviews . If I don't get this one, I might get the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Pink
With the "colour correcting craze", I have been thinking about getting a more pinkish toned concealer for my under eye area. I tend to prefer liquid concealers so I was really please when I heard that Urban Decay was launching a collection of colour correcting concealers. I know NYX has a similar formula but sadly they don't own the exact shade I want...although I might get instead the Sephora Bright Future Color Corrector in Pink ( which has a similar formula but costs half of the price).
Anastasia of Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette
I have spend a whole year without getting a new eyeshadow palette. Yes, you read it right. And to be honest, there hasn't been any palette really calling for me...but this one has the type of shades that I like - pinks, cranberrys, golds and warm browns. The only downside is that it is a little expensive in Europe when compared to other eyeshadow palettes from other brands. I might be able to snatch a coupon for this one. ( who knows!)
Too Faced Sketch Marker eyeliner ( both in Black and Brown)
Eyeliner has been a staple in my stash. My clio eyeliner is giving it's goodbye's and although I own a small version of the Kat Von D's eyeliner, I really want to get a full size eyeliner and I want to get a brown one as well ( I'll forever blame Shannon from Shaaanxo for this crave! she did a gorgeous look using pink eyeshadow and brown eyeliner)
Nabla Blossom Blush ( Beloved and Impulse)
Nabla for those who don't know is an Italian brand that has entered the spotlight around Portugal, Spain and Italy (not sure if also in the UK and France). They have refill eyeshadow pans, lipsticks and recently they released blushes, highlighter and contour powders. I might get the Highlighters later but I really wanted to get these two blushes ( I mean, don't they look pretty?)
TonyMoly Tomatox Clay Mask
I am a huge fan of the Korean Beauty and recently Sephora here started to sell TonyMoly - yes you heard it right! They don't have the full range ( mostly because they weren't sure weather it would be a hit or not...which has been) but I don't give too much until they have their makeup here as well. So far they have most of their hit products, including this mask. I've used samples of it twice and I really want it - it's a pickup mask, a light version of the Avéne Cleanance Mask. Crossing fingers that it's back in stock.
Pixi Glow Tonic
Acid Toning has been a thing in my routine for a while. It was ( among other changes) what made my skin better and breakout free. I have been trying out other toners ( the Missha Time Revolution and the First Aid Beauty Pads) but I really want to get my hands on this baby. Caroline Hirons raves about it and I truly believe in her recommendations. I'm also looking for their Cleansing Balm and their 20% Glycolic Acid Pads.
NYX Proofit! Eyeshadow Primer
My Lime Crime Primer is finally giving it's last breath and I won't repurchase it - not only because it is too expensive but also because I cannot support that brand anymore. I was torn between the Too Faced version and the Urban Decay version ( both got reformulated recently) but I heard that this bad boy is the perfect dupe for the Nars primer - which is apparently the best eyshadow primer for oily lids. I might get a high end version, But I want to get my hands on this one for sure.
Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks ( Child Star, Sell Out, Queen B and Bend and Snap)
I have been on the hunt for the perfect nude but not that nude liquid lipsticks. The Kylie kits don't tell me much and sadly the ColorPOP liquid lipsticks aren't available here either. Kat Von D is available in Spain ( and thankfully I have a friend that is going to be there on Erasmus next year...I might ask her to get me a few and send them...). But then I saw this new release from Too Faced and I feel in love. I have been watching reviews from different Vlogers and Bloggers and I am convinced. The shades I have here are shades I can declare as " me-shades". I can't wait to get my hands on them. ( and eventually do that Liquid Lipstick Post I've been talking about)
Do you guys have any recommendation? Any thing in particular on your Wishlist?
Thank you very much for reading! Have a nice day!
My Make Up Storage
3/31/2016
Yes, this is happening. I am finally going to talk about my Vanity and how I store my products.
I'll start by doing the usual disclaimer everyone does : I am in no way bragging about how many lipsticks or blushes I own. I am ver concious that I own more than the average person - I have friends that own just 3 or 4 lipsticks and are happy about it. I never counted how many I own but I know that they are a lot and that I still want a few more. I mean, make up is something that I like - pretty much as I like to paint and art supplies ( which is also another large collection...specially in the copic and watercolour department). This is something I have accumulating during years and years. I wear all of what you see here and whenever I feel I am not wearing something or not giving it enough love I just pass it on to a friend that will love it more than me. I also own a few collection items - like that YSL quad or the Etude House Dream Swan compact. Those things I'll never let go.
My Skin Care Stash - although I won't mention it too much - is also considered overwhelming to some people. But again - it's something I like to take care of. I always had many skin issues and ever since I started to take of it I saw many changes. I don't have breakouts (except one or two during that time of the month) and I've ve been taking care of spots and old scaring as well.
Could I only own a small bag of items like many I know do? Maybe. But I like having multiple choices and trying out new things from time to time.
Before anyone asks, my Vanity is from a local shop call " Loja do Gato Preto" - which is also available in Spain and France - and I got it because I wanted something with a more old look and not something super straight like the IKEA malm for example. I'm really happy with it and after more than a year I have no issues with it.
As you can see, my skin care stash is hosted inside an acrylic container. I really like it but I'm thinking about getting something else to store it. I feel like I can something prettier and with more carisma. My face brushes all stored inside IKEA candle holders and my eye brushes are stored inside a container a friend gave me when she came back from her Erasmus semester at Delft in the Netherlands. You can also see a small mirror, my three favourite perfumes, and another bits and bobs like my Naked 3 palette ( which is out, along side my wild peach cosmetics palette in order for me to wear what's inside of it). There's also a little pink Faerie which I got from one of my trips to Caldas da Rainha and I really like it. I'm considering getting another two or three because it's too cute. Lastly, the candle holder you see is from Ikea (although the candle that it's inside of it isn't).

On the left side of my drawer I have my powder, my bb cushion and a variety of eye products.
all the little compartments you see here are from MUJI and I really like them because of slim they are. I really want to get more compartments like these.
The one you see on the left is divided in two sections. The first contains all of my cream eyeshadows and pigments ( and a random sample from benefit) and the second one contains all of my eye primers, my make up sponge from Real Techniques and my lip concealer. The other major compartment on the right contains all of my eyeliners, shadow sticks and brow pencils. You can also see my two MAC eyshadows standing there and my mascaras on the back next to my powders.
I'm not 100% happy with this because I wish my powders would be stored in a different way and I might depot the MAC eyeshadows latter. But so far this has been the best solution and the easiest way of fitting things. It is busy, but not overcrowded.
I have to admit that this is probably my favourite drawer. As you can see here I house my blushes, bronzer, highlighters and some lipsticks.
My Etude House Lipsticks are housed here because of their creamy texture, I don't want them to melt because of the sunlight so I just usually house them in that part of my Muji box. Next to it I have my Bourjois Cream blushes and miniatures from benefit, alongside with some The Body Shop blushes - which are okay but nothing too special. Sadly.
On the back I have my bronzer and a Rice Powder from Bourjois. I'm not a bronze kind of 'gal, mostly because I don't need too much to define my face. Because of that I only own those two and Laguna from the Nars Orgasm-Laguna duo. Next to it I have all of my liquid Lipsticks from Sephora and Nyx. I don't really know how to store them so I usually just fit them into that compartment.
The big compartment on the right side houses all of my blushes. It's a bit overcrowded so I might need to get another box in the future...
Lastly but not least, you also see some random eyeshadows and lipsticks. The Etude House Liquid Lipsticks are still housed in their box mostly because I don't want to take out the box before I review them...and because I really don't have any other please to house them. Maybe I should consider getting a Muji acrylic drawer in the future...
On top of my Antique Drawer set I have this acrylic with my lipsticks and daily face products. It's easier for me to come her and get my primer, concealer and foundations that just have them inside the big drawer of my vanity. I also have her all of my lip pencils and lip liners - If I see them, I don't forget about them.
I really like this because I get to have all of the things I use the most in one place without any struggles in the morning. If I end up getting the Muji Acrylic Drawer I mentioned before, I place it under this little guy. I need to blame Alix from I Covet Thee for this one - because of her Vanity video from two years ago I feel in love with the idea of having a specific corner for the make up I use more often.
Next to it I have my cotton pads and some jewellery - specially tinny rings - on my bird container. I used not to like stuff like it but because of Kate from Kate la Vie I ended up falling in love with it. And too much instagram decor also.
And to finish up, I needed to mention how I store my Essie nail polish. I use one of the small drawers from my vanity to do it. There are also two nail polishes from H&M and some random pots for travelling purposes. I might do a Esse collection post later - I mean, are you guys interested on that?
I tend to gravitate toward either super pastel-feel shades or towards the more dark and metallic shades. I know...it's the 8 and 80 in the same drawer.
And so here it's my storage ( and some kind-off make up collection).
The only I totally forgot to show was my palette drawer. But that means I can do an entire post about it and my palette collection later on as well...
Thank you very much for reading and if you happen to have storage advices to give, be sure to! I would love to read them.
Take care, have a nice day!

Picking 5 Pink Products
3/21/2016
Spring is finally here. With that in mind I though " why not share a few items that to me scream spring?" - because pink and spring to me are kind of the same. Or at least I tend to use more pink during the Spring - alongside with corals as well, although I leave them for when the time is warmer. It just makes me more positive and helps me see life in a brighter perspective - except when we get to part where all my allergies decide to apear and I get super sick. Or when the Weather has a bipolar disorder and changes 15 times during a single day - making me sick again because of it. ( But let's pretend that does not happen, shall we?)
I decided to select five items in pink - I might do a similar post but with other shades...what do you think? would you be interested? I went for pink this time but I could have chosen red or blue... - from different brands, price ranges and utilities.
This was something I can say it was an unexpected purchase. I got the O Boticário Floratta perfume on Valentines day for myself - because that's what single people do on Valentines day, they buy perfumes for themselves... The original idea was to repurchase my body scrub or get a new one since the one I had was finished. I ended up getting a new body scrub and the bad boy came along. I always had a good relationship with more floral scents, specially when those are inspired by cherry blossoms - I always had a love for those, specially because of a certain anime called Card Captor Sakura - this perfume is heave for all of that. I believe this can be a little difficult to get your hands on the brand ( I believe they ship to Europe from the European website and they do own counters in Brazil, Portugal and Spain. Not sure if they have more counters in other countries...) but if you can please check it out. Specially this perfume.
By this time I believe I don't need to introduce you to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. It's probably the most pinkish palette I know and own and it's perfect for the Spring - which is when I tend to take it out of my drawer and use it. I've been using it during this days and I'll keep do it during the rest of the season. It is probably my favourite Naked palette from the whole collection.
The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan won a soft spot in my heart. I'll be doing a more detailed review of this shade and the other 3 I own later but I had to share my love for this shade. It's one of those bright open pinks that aren't neon-ish and look amazing at any occasion.
One of the advantages of having a mother that lives overseas is that I get to ask for products that don't exist here on my birthday and Christmas. That's when I asked for the Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Berry Pop , which is more pink than berry. I need to dedicate a sole post to this bad boy since it rivals with my Nars Blushes and Benefit Blushes in terms of high quality. Still, this shade just screams Spring too since it leaves a lovely pink blush on my cheeks.
Lastly but not least at all, I need to mention the Soap&Glory Love at First Blush since it's one of those product that can be worn in multiple ways. I tend to use it as highlighter but on certain days I wear it as blush and the glow it give is just gorgeous and healthy-looking. If you are looking for a good and wallet-friendly version of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks, check this one and their brothers - there is also a bronze version and a peach version ( which I also own)
What are your Top 5 pink products? Do you just wear pink during the Spring and Summer or do you do it during the rest of the year?
Sephora Lip Cream Stain | Review
3/05/2016
I'll be honest. I've been quite cucu-crazy in terms of liquid lipsticks. Like, I could probably do a whole post discussing liquid lipsticks, their types shades what the best and the worst. Wait, I probably should do that in the future.
I remember when the liquid-lipstick craze started, these were the one of the first affordable options to apear. I really appreciated it, since Sephora is quite affordable here and they often do promotions and discounts on their own brand. That's how I actually got most of these colours : with promotions or coupon discounts. But, can I be blamed? We all look forward to spend less money whenever we can.
Money issues aside, I can say that I really like these. I've been obsessed with matte lips during this entire season and these are true beauties. They are really opaque and really easy to apply and they don't turn into those really uncomfortable lipsticks that you can't use for too long because they just hurt your lips. You just need to be careful - your lips need to be moisturised and exfoliated, other wise those dry patches will be shown ( and that's not really pretty).
( from left to right : 02 Classic Beige ; 13 Marvelous Mauve ; 09 Forever Fuchsia ; 03 Strawberry Kissed ; 01 Always Red )
I wasn't able to wait for these to dry out completely and I apologise for that. Either way, it is possible to see the power and pigmentation of these lipsticks.
Classic Beige is a really gorgeous matte Brown, which kinda reminds me of really polished and posh looks with pink shades and cranberry shades. I don't know, there's just something classy about it. I used to be super afraid of using it since it looked too much - yes, I thought this guy was too much. Me, the girl who uses bright pinks and everything all the time. Eventually I understood that it was quite okay to were this on a daily basics. All I needed to do was to pair it with the right outfit and make up and everything would set into place.
Marvelous Mauve is a probably my favourite shade from all of these. I don't know, I like how it's a nude shade with a touch of pink in it, plus a little hint of lilac as well. When I don't know what to wear, I often end up using this one for college days whenever I want something soft and polished and yet with a edgy feel. And to think I almost didn't get this one!
Forever Fuchsia is probably the brightest shade from the group and it screams Spring like no other. I also almost didn't got it at the time, but...I kinda changed my taste and now that I find myself using more bright shades everyday. I'll be using it during the Spring and Summer for sure. This is probably the only shade that it isn't completely matte - it does have a hint of sparkles but nothing major.
Strawberry Kissed is a lovely Candy-Apple Red that reminds me of Snow White that looks lovely with any type of look, specially if you pretend a more polished look but you don't want a true red.
Always Red is a true red that reminds me of classic ladies and Red Riding Hood's story ( it would be a lovely option of a Halloween look for example). With this bad boy I would probably only do a simple eye look, add eyeliner and let all the attention go to it.
Seriously, if you can be sure to give these guys a try. You won't regret it - specially if you like in the USA where the shade range is bigger than the one we have in Europe.
Thank you for reading, take care!
Princess Shadows
2/09/2016
There was a time where I wouldn't think about order Korean eyeshadows due to their lack of pigmentation - not because they didn't want to do products with quality but because the Korean Market wouldn't demand it as much as the western market. But with recent years, brands started to work on better shadows and pigments - probably because how the Korean Fashion has evolved and with the Globalization of Kpop. They aren't exactly perfect but they are still something worth trying, So during my first order from Etude House website, I decided to order two eyeshadows to try and see if they were worth something extra. I was pleasantly surprised.
( BR401 Cafe Latte ; Look at My Eye Jewel OR202 - both dry and with wet )
While making my first order from the official Etude House website, I decided that it would be a nice experience trying out their eyeshadows. Their range is quite good and the price is like...something that can't be beat. I mean, less than 5$ for a single shadow ? I had to try it out.And I'm really glad I did.
The matte eyeshadow, BR401 Caffe Latte has been my go-to matte shade. Seriously, there isn't anything that had beaten this eyeshadow. It might not look that impressive on the pan but really, it can make a difference. And the best part is that it's not powdery at all. Like...at all. It's super smooth and blends without any type of problem. It's not the first time that I might take with me a palette like Zoeva's Rosen Golden or Urban Decay's Naked 3 and this eyeshadow to keep the look polished and perfect. I'll probably get another matte from this line soon or latter.
The Glitter eyeshadow , Look at My Eyes Jewel OR202 is a really gorgeous orange full of golden particles. I'm usually really scared of this type of eyeshadows because they then to fallout a lot. Funny thinf is, this doesn't. I've worn this eyeshadow many times - both wet and dry - and it never fade, fell out or creased. Like never. I'm really tempted to get another two or three shades from this line to add into my collection - specially their greens and blues.
Overall, I totally recommend Etude House's single eyeshadows, They know have also a palette to house the shadows if you happen to depot them but, these are so good that I probably won't depot them. I believe it's because of eyeshadows like these that I'm really thrilled for shadows like Color Pop - I don't really like their packaging and how hard it is for me to get them. Seriously, try Etude House Eyeshadows, you'll fall in love for sure.
Take care, have a nice day!

5 High End products worth to try
10/03/2015
Hello Hello! How's everyone?I know I said I was going to post more but...between my first week of school and life I wasn't really able to write posts. I'm really sorry for that but, we all know what the priorities around here are right? I love blogging and I love writing but...faculty tends to come first. ( and also tends to give me good ideas as well)
While looking at my vanity I understood that I've been investing more into high end beauty rather than budget beauty. That gave me the idea of selecting 5 products I believe are totally worth their money that you should try for sure if you have the opportunity. I have to admit that this time I got more make up than skin care but I might do more posts like these in the future so, more products might appear here. I'm also thinking about doing a blog post with a few selections for the Fall/Autumn Season - I used to do big posts with tones of blush shades and eyeshadows but this year I'll probably stick to the basics ( and try to recreate a look as well)
So, without further due here are 5 high product I believe you need to try and why.
So, without further due here are 5 high product I believe you need to try and why.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiant Pads
If there's something I believe everyone should try are these pads. Ever since I started using AHA and BHA instead of mechanical scrubs, my face improved like no other. I mean, no more crazy breakouts and less clogged pores? What else can I ask for? Seriously, everyone should try them - even if it's just the travel-size box.
Benefit Rockateur Blush
So you want a blush that goes with anything and stays on place all day? Check Rockateur. I got because I was quite intrigued with it but now I feel in love with it. I believe it's one of the best Blush purchases I ever made. I might even get another blush with this type of shade because of this bad boy
Nars Seduction
I know, it looks quite scary but it looks so pretty. I love this type of shade for the Fall and Winter time and believe me, it can make a huge difference to your collection.
MAC Craving Lipstick
I got this lipstick because of Shayne from Queen of All you See and I'm really happy about it. It's one of those lipsticks that can make you from off to on in less than a minute. Whenever I don't want to work too much on my eyeshadow but I still want to look Fabulous I just grab this bad boy.
Too Faced Natural Eyes
What can I say about it? It's like a combination of the 3 Naked Palettes but...with better quality in my opinion. The shadows are super buttery and they last a lot - whole day without creasing or going anywhere. You can make all type of looks and it's really travel friendly. Seriously, give it a chance
So, what do you think about my choices? I'll probably do a similar post to this one. Maybe I should do one with Budget Friendly options?
Also, I'll try my best to post my September Favourites next week as well. But again school and personal matters have made my life quite crazy. But I shall survive as always.
Thank you for reading and don't forget to participate on the giveaway!
Take care, have a nice day!
Fresh and Polished look to school
9/06/2015
Before you all ask, yes I decided to change the look of the blog again. But this time I finally have things like I always wanted to and I was able to add a menu under my banner. I also added a About Page, Contact and Resource Credit page where I present myself, present my business contact and give credit to the resources I used to create this blog look. I'm really proud of how this turn out, even if I had to spend like 2 to 3 hours working on designs and coding. The only thing I might adjust in the future is to center the blog post name and maybe build a different signature to the posts. But yes, I'm really, really happy about this theme. It looks more polished, happy and...professional? ( not really, but let's pretend it is)
Also, I'm on a blog post product spree. I have at least other 5 posts ready to be written and scheduled, which is nice since school is going to start in less than 2 weeks. I can't believe I'll be back to the crazy routine of classes, drama and everything. But hey, I was also kinda missing it.
And with that in mind, I decided to share 5 products that can make us look fresh and polished and ready for the day without spending too much time on it - because we all love to spend those extra 5 to 10 minutes sleeping. Or pretending to.
Concealer is magic
Unless you have to many skin problems - and believe me, I also used to so I totally understand you - my recommendation goes to concealer. You can concealer the dark circles, occasional spots and correct some more reddish areas of your face. But if you feel that it's too little for you, my recommendation is to get a nice BB cream. You are free to do whatever you want but, personally I believe school isn't the place to wear heavy make up. Specially if you spend 8+ hours outside your comfort zone.
Powder does the difference
Even if you are just using concealer, using a powder to set everything is something to keep in mind. Of course, if you want something with a bit more coverage you can always use something like a Powder foundation, which will help you covering a bit more but keeping at the same time the fresh and healthy vibe.
Blushing those Cheek Bones
Blush can make a huge difference to a look. Weather you go for a powder or matte blush, is all up to you. Although I have to say that I would be a bit careful with the shade selection and how heavy you apply it. On another situation, rocking a more "BAM" blush shouldn't be a problem, but for daily wear, something more toned down is okay. But again, if you want to rock a "BAM" blush, just do it. ( unless it's forbid in your school/campus. There's no need to get into trouble because of a blush shade)
Mascara to Wake Up those Lashes
Weather you want or not to do a full eye look is up to you. I decided to leave out that because it really depends on the person and how comfortable they are with that and how much time they have. The same applies to Eyeliner. Now Mascara is that simple thing that can make a huge difference. Find your perfect and favourite mascara and rock it every day. You'll see the difference in your eyes. Literally.
Lipstick to a pop of colour
Or moisture. I went for a lipstick that moisturises at the same time but in reality, it really depends on what you want and like. There are days were I like a really bold matte colour ( In the University there aren't major problems with that). But again. if you are in an environment where you can't do that, you can always use a lip balm or a more toned down lipstick. Just be comfortable with that.
These are some ideas I have, but seriously just do what makes you happy. If you like to do a more heavy make up do it. If you think you just need concealer for your dark circles or no make up at all, it's also fine. Just be happy.

10 Korean Products you need to Try
8/21/2015
Korean Beauty has been getting some attention, specially when beauty gurus like Michelle Phan and Professional Makeup Artists like Lisa Eldridge mention them on their channel's. I've always been really curious about it, specially as someone who started to follow kpop stars and their makeup looks. Also, Korean beauty is known to not be overpriced and with really good quality.
I've been able to try out a nice quantity of products from Korean brands so I decided to share 10 products I believe you should keep in mind if you want to try out for the first time Korean Beauty.
But keep in mind that because I want to try as many products as possible and because I really do like them, it's possible that I might do another round-up post with another 10 products in the future. But for now, here are my 10 products.
It's impossible to deny the quality of Korean Skin Care. They usually give priority to good ingredients like Glycolic Acid or Hyaluronic Acid - it's is quite hard in Western Brands. Although I would advise you to always check the ingredient list and reviews no matter what. For example, it's common to find mineral oil and lavender oil in some Cleansing Oils, which isn't the ideal to those who have sensitive skin. Without further due, here are the 6 Skin Care products I recommend you without any doubt.
Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil
By far, the best cleansing oil I ever tried. It doesn't contain any bad ingredient although people allergic to parfum/fragrance might be a little hesitant. It's really gentle but cleanses the skin and all traces of makeup without problems. You can also use this to remove your eye makeup that it won't sting your eyes or anything like that. I have to admit that I am a bit curious to try certain cleansing balms ( like Clinique take the day off) but I'll probably repurchase this for sure. If you are looking for a cleansing oil, think about this one.
Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner
If you are familiar with Missha you know they are fairly popular because of their BB Cream and because of their Fermented Essence. This toner is part of the same line that carries that Essence and contain both BHA and AHA acids, doesn't have any alcohol and isn't really harsh on the skin. I'm seriously thinking about promoting him as my everyday morning toner ( since I like to use something more strong at the night time like the FAB pads). I also really like this for those days where you feel your skin more sensitive and asking for more of a gentle care. I'll probably repurchase this toner around September or October.
OST C20 Vitamin C20 Serum
It's probably one of the most popular Korean Serums of all time. This serum is known to take care of scars and spots. And it's what it does. Ever since I started to use this Serum my skin has improving a lot - and when I say a lot, I mean that scars with more than 2 years are finally fading and disappearing. You just need to be careful with two things : if you happen to wear this in the morning always - ALWAYS - apply SPF ( actually, you should always apply SPF no matter what) because vitamin C makes your skin more fragile to sun exposure and don't let the bottle be exposed to sun since vitamin C is quite unstable and doesn't work nicely with sun exposure, since it oxides and the serum looses it's powder. I keep mine out of the sun and inside of the box to prevent that
Mizon Hyaluronic Acid 100 Serum
Because of Caroline Hirons recommendations I started to be quite interested in finding a good serum Hyaluronic Acid. The problem? It's quite hard to find serums with that in Europe and when you get to find them they are really expensive. When I found this one last year I got curious. The result? I'm on my second bottle because of how much I liked it. It's perfect to use both in the night and morning time and I probably won't switching this for nothing. If you have dry skin or dehydrated skin be sure to add this to your " to try list".
Innisfree It's real Squeeze Mask in Green Tea
Sheet Mask are a huge thing in Korea. I used to not understand the hype until I tried this one. When you have one of those really long days and you need to relax or you feel like your skin needs a "pick me up" treatment, grab one of these. It's really moisturising and it does take care of your skin. The one present here is the last I have from Innisfree and I've been saving it until I'm able to repurchase more because after trying a few from Etude House, I believe these are by far better ( not that Etude House's are bad, they aren't...I just prefer the texture of these). They also have more types of masks if you are interested. Oh and they are really affordable as well.
Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Mask
Sleeping masks are another thing that it's big in Korea. They are meant to lock in the moisture and add another boost to your skin during the night. I got this one because it's fairly popular, affordable and...it has Hyaluronic acid. Also, a little goes a long way with this mask and a tube will last more than 9 months if not a full year believe me. It also gives a really nice fresh feeling to the skin ( which we love specially during the summer)
Now into Makeup wise, their base makeup products are usually really good. Their BB creams are by far better than the western ones, although sadly they lack of a good colour selection. Because Korean Woman love their eyeliner, usually theirs is also really good. Oh their lip products are to die for. Overall, they are worth to try, but here are some specific recommendations:
3CE Full Cover Concealer
If you are looking for a dupe or something similar to the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer, try this out. I got it not only because of that but also because Bethany Y used to rave a lot about it. I had to stop using it during summer because I got a bit tanned but it's perfect for the Winter time. I'm planing on trying more concealers in the future but I'll be sure to repurchase this one. The downside is that 3CE isn't sold everywhere as easily as other brands like Etude House or Innisfree.
Holika Holika Pore Cover Base
Looking for a nice primer that takes care of hiding your pores but you happen to not like Silicone ( or being allergic...I think most people also forget that there are people allergic to silicone) ? Try this one. I actually got it because it was really affordable and since I'm not a huge fan of the Porefessional, I wanted to get something similar. I ended up getting something better. The primer has more of a creamy consistency, doesn't break me out, mess with my foundation or anything like it. I might be curious to get other type of primers, but this one has a permanent spot in my stash.
Clio Kill Black Waterproof Eyeliner
I'm still not a huge pro in what's related to eyeliner but, I have to say that his is by far the best I've come across. It's super pigmented and it doesn't fade or anything during the day. Mine is starting to dye ( well, it's been one year since I got it so, it's quite normal) and I'll be getting a backup soon. And possibly the brown one as well. This one has a brush tip but, if you prefer there's also the felt tip option as well.
Etude House Dear My Wish Lip Talk
What can I say? I have six shades of this and I love them. I dare to say that I like this lipsticks more than my MAC lipsticks ( although shades like Craving will always have a spot in my heart). Their scent is amazing, the packaging speaks for itself and this is one of those lipsticks that I apply, live my life, eat, drink and I'll still have lipstick on. I'm still thinking about getting the two Nudes they have in the Range to finish the collection.
There obviously more products I could recommend. Like the Etude House BB Cushion or the Aritaum Blushes. But like I said, I still want to try out more products so, I might mention them in the future.
Do you have any recommendation?
I hope you liked this post. Take care everyone, have a nice day!

Good Smelling Powder
8/11/2015
I've been struck by the writter block light. I haven't felt the necessary inspiration to write...I sit myself in front of the computer with tones of things in my mind and photos already edited and...BAM. Nothing comes out. But since I started to do some workout, I really hope that at some point that helps me with this little problem. I mean, there's so much I still want to share with you guys!
In terms of makeup, I've been keeping things simple lately. I haven't been wearing any foundation. It's wither my BB cushion or this Powder foundation alongside with concealer.
I mean, for once my skin is getting clearer and clearer so there aren't major spots or scars to cover - I shall write a post later about how I archive it - and second : IT'S SUPER HOT HERE. I mean, it's summer, what can I expect? I don't like the sensation of having foundation melting on my face or caking all over the place. Besides, I also learned how to appreciate good looking and natural skin. If want to add something extra I do my eyeliner ( which has been quite an experience itself...let say that me and cat eye have a problem but I shall master it! even if it takes me the hole summer...) and add a pop of colour on my lips.
The Powder foundation of choice had been the Too Faced Cocoa Powder foundation in Fair. This is my first powder foundation and I got it back in January if I'm not mistaken. Back in the day I was still struggling a little so I wasn't able to give this it's full attention, although I would use it as a powder sometimes whenever I wanted more coverage.
But as the time passed, I started to dislike heavy foundations and to look after a more natural effect : something that would keep out the oiliness of my T-zone and would also take care of the redness I sometimes get around my nose. And that's what this does.
If you are looking for something that takes away the redness or locks-in any primer or colour correcter you've been placing on your face : this is the product for you. Now, if you want something that will cover every-sing imperfection, spot and scar...this isn't really for you. I mean, this powder is powerful but not that powerful. Let's say that it doesn't produce any miracles.
The powder is quite soft and fine. And yes - it smells like chocolate. REAL CHOCOLATE.
The packaging is just gorgeous. I mean, the box is full of details and the compact itself is incredible. Overall, I'm super happy with this powder foundation.
If you are looking for a light-weight foundation for daily-use this is a option to consider. If you are looking for a powder with coverage to set your foundation and give extra coverage to your foundation this is also another option to consider. Now, if you want something with medium-high coverage that cover spots and scars this is not your ideal foundation. Also, people with super dry and flaky skin won't be loving this as well.
Personally, I'll probably repurchase this for sure. I mean, I used to be curious about MAC's Studio Fix Powder Foundation and Make Up For Ever's Pro Finish Powder Foundation but since I'm happy with this one, I'll stick with it. Although, I'm curious about Urban Decay's version, since it's more into " Skin-like" type of product. As for the " How does your face look like with it" , here's an example ( taken from my Instagram account, you guys understand that not always I'm able to get new photos right? I really hope so! Although I'll try to ask a friend for help since I want to do a few round-up posts about Lipsticks ). I promise I'll try to work out a way of getting better selfies for the blog in the future.
Have you tried this foundation or any other powder foundations before? Do your guys have any recommendation?
With Love,
Diana,
I think everyone knows how casual and fuzz-free friendly I am. Specially during school time. Although I really do enjoy applying makeup and playing with it, there are days where I like when things can be easier. The perks of using public transportation instead of driving I guess.
Also, I'm not that fond of retouching during the day. Blotting and re-applying lipstick is okay but I like to have my eye makeup on point, which can be difficult when you have oily-lids like me and not every primer works. For example the Urban Decay Primer Potion or the Too Faced Shadow Insurance won't do much on my lids...makeup will always melt after 3 hours. My current primer is okay but, since Lime Crime is having problems I decided I won't support the company and I won't get more products from them. I'll probably try out The Balm's primer next.
But I believe everyone knows how much I like cream shadows - they are easy to wear and most of the times I only apply them plus mascara and I am good to go.
Personally, there are only two formulas I like so far - MAC's Paint Pots and Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadows. Last Christmas I decided it would be a nice idea to add another shade into my collection since I like like Birthday Suit. That why I got My Two Cents.
While Birthday Suit is more of taupe-ish, cool brown with a greyish undertone, My Two Cents is a warm brown, which make is more natural on my lids than Birthday Suit.
The packaging and how I apply it is pretty much the same. I really like to wear this on it's own, with an eyeliner or with a darker matte shade defining the crease. I also believe that it's an amazing base colour to all types of looks. If you are into cream shadows I really recommend you trying this one. So far Benefit shadows haven't disappointed me in terms of pigmentation, texture and performance.
I'm not really sure if there is any direct dupe to this or not. Bad to the Bronze from Maybelline seems darker ( also, I had a bad experience with their cream shadows). Although I have to say that Gosh Forever eye shadow stick in 03 Light Cooper is a nice match ( since I will do a review on that, I can always do a dupe comparison later). I also believe that one of the new Bourjois Eye Sticks has a dupe ( not sure, but since I want to get the three lightest shades, I always compare them later again).
I'll probably start writing something like " Dupe Talk" during this month...what do you guys think? Would you like to read that?
So, do you like this shade ? I also would like to know if you guys have more recommendations or so, because I really like and care about them. You can get this at Benefit.com, Sephora and other official retailers.
Please take care everyone, have a nice day!
With love,
Diana.
The Daring Game collection was something that picked my attention´when it was released. But I know that things wouldn't run away and that they would get cheaper so I waited for it. And well, I got crazy afterwards as you can see...
I'm also thinking about testing the regular Kiko shadow sticks, mostly because I want something that it's easy to apply on my way to college without too much effort or even to throw into my bag and apply when I arrive at school (although it would be a very extreme situation). But I'm not sure yet because there's also the Clinique eye chubbys and the amazing Bobbi Brown shadow sticks. But so far, I'm impressed with the two shadow sticks I got.
Queen of Hearts Palette in 03 Elegant Ebony
I bet no one was expecting this one. I mean : a quad? That's so not me. I went for this because I finally understood how helpful mattes can be and also, I needed a compact palette for when I travel. Oh and something that simplifies my makeup when I don't know what to do as well.
I like the shadow selection, although it's not really something I tend to gravitate to - I'm more into golden and warmer shades than to cooler ones - so it wasn't like that I would have 30858053753 shadows like the ones that are here. They blend really easily and they have a decent pigmentation - I mean, we're talking about kiko, not Urban Decay or Too Faced . But something that I really like is how the mattes aren't dusty or crumble which is something I tend to hate in matte shades.
Overall, it's a palette/quad that I can use on a everyday basics or on a special occasion. Oh...and the packaging? ADORABLE. I mean, look at that heart.
Color-up Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 24 and 10
I've been wanting to get shadow sticks for a quite sometime...mostly because they are quite convenient and easy to wear. Running away from the typical beige shade, I went for 24 because it's a nice dark brown shade. It's not that pigmented when applied on the eye-lid, which is actually positive. It means that I can still build-up the look with another shadows. But the best part is how longlasting and anti-crease this is. When worn between the eye primer and the eyeshadow, it's a marvelous thing. I had this event on Saturday and I wore 10 between my Lime Crime Primer and the eyeshadows from my Naked 3 and....after 10 hours my eye makeup was still intact. And when I say intact I mean that i was pretty much untouched.
I'm sad that I couldn't more shades but, now I really want to get more products like this. (I've been searching for alternatives from Korean and Japanese brands fro example...and like I said, I really want to try the chubbys from Clinique)

Golden Game Sculpting Bronzer 01 Radiant Honey
I got this for 3 main reasons : it was on sale; Lily Pebbles declared it as a dupe to the Sculpting Palette from Charlote Tilbury and the packaging is just gorgeous. Aside from this, I have to say that I don't regret getting this. The sculpting powder is really nice to wear since the shade doesn't look muddy or too orange on me and it's really easy to blend. The only thing that I need to be careful with is the highlighter since it can look too glittery to my taste and if I don't set it carefully I'll look like a Disco Ball (not cool at all).
Top Pairs Blush in 02 Raspberry Rose and Peach
Now these, these were on my wishlist forever. I really like both shades, specially because I can see myself wearing them a lot during the spring and summer. I mean, if there's something that I need are bright shades - my collection is mostly covered by darker shades like Seduction from Nars or Demerara from Sleek.
Raspberry Pink is a gorgeous pink that will go nicely with those transitional days were it's not too cold or too warm and because it's matte I can play with highlighters without problems. But if I want something as a 2 in 1 Peach will get me covered. It's a less shimmered blush - I mean look at the blush from my Sleek face form - and a more oraged version of the Nars Orgasm.
Both are extremely pigmented and ask for a light hand. They also have the power of life on my cheeks for hours without fading, which is something I only tend to find on brands like Benefit or Nars.
Top Pairs Blush in 03 Rosewood and Azalea
This is another blush duo that got my attention - I mean, Rosewood is that transitional shade that doesn't look too wintery or too bright. It just goes with any type of look without problems. And Azalea on the other hand screams Spring and Summer which is something I need around my collection shores.
Again, both shades are pigmented and don't fade that easily on my face.
And both palettes have a gorgeous packaging (are you catching how much I love the packaging? I hope you do) that makes me want to display it. One day, since I might get a set of Muji drawer's (although that would be the proof of how big my collection is currently)
Ace of Diamonds Lipstick in 32
I'll blame the sales. And the packaging.
I mean, this is a very "me shade" for the Spring and Summer time, although thankfully doesn't look exactly like the other two corals that I own - MAC's Sunny Seoul and Too Faced's Juicy Melons.
This one leaves a some-kind-of matte finish but it's not drying at all. It's actually super comfortable and stains my lips - which means that I don't need to retouch it too many times during the day.
Ace of Diamonds Lipsticks in 34
This is the type of shade that is starling to take over my collection. Mostly because I finally understood the power of a statement lipstick and it's wonders for those days were we want to look nice without too much effort. Or for when we are happy and want to show it. Again, it's super comfortable and easy to wear and apply. I'm actually sad that I wasn't able to snatch more of these.
Ace of Diamond Lip Pencil in 32 and 19
I ended up picking these two and I'm glad I did it. I tend to forget about lip pencils but such a creamy formula I really had to do the extra investment. 32 matches the lipstick without any problems, making the application easy, no smudging and makes it last a lot longer and 19 is almost a match to my Too Faced La Crème Lipstick in Juicy Melons, which I can apply easily because of this lip pencil.
Now all I need is a red, a nude and a more purple shade.
And that's it. I know that speaking about products that we can't get any more isn't exactly the best but I really wanted to share my love for these guys. Kiko currently has some really pretty mosaic blushes and highlighters that I might snatch (who knows? I don't know it yet). I'm sorry for the lack of swatches but I really wanted to post something and if I was worrying about swatches there wouldn't be this post - mostly because of timing issues, editing, my computer failing and everything.
Have you ever tried kiko? What do you think about the brand?
Take care everyone, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
