Lipsticks that get you into the Autumn/Fall Season

9/21/2018

After Blush, what I love the most is lipstick without much question. Specially in the colder seasons where I can got for my shades of choice: reds, wine and deep browns. Today I'll be sharing what shades I'll be wearing while transitioning from the extremely suffocating hot weather to the more pleasant breeze of Autumn/Fall.

The Autumn Blushes Edit

9/05/2018

September is here and with it all the comebacks: coming back to school, coming back to work and of course coming back to university. Another obvious comeback is the Autumn season. It is still really hot here, but I can already imagine myself drinking hot tea at night and getting comfy around my blankets.

Two concealers I love more than Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

8/14/2018

I have to admit, I was a bit scared of writing this post, mostly because I feel that this might come across as a unpopular opinion. But after trying to feel what everyone was feeling, I had to give in and admit that the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer might not work with me like it works for other people.

April Favourites

4/30/2018

What I have been loving in April

Although I did not post my March Favourites, I thought it would be a good idea to still post post my April Favourites. This month was a mix of feelings - work is starting to appear, summer planning is also happening, God of War 4 was released oh boy  - and I cannot believe May it's here! I guess I am trying to not stress myself over work and have everything done and in control. It isn't easy tho, but thankfully I have been aware of my deadlines and have been trying to work on it. Nonetheless, there are always those days where my brain doesn't want to focus itself on what he needs too(hello overthinking!) and feel extremely tired. But hey! I am working on feeling better and overcoming this overflow of thoughts. (A Huge shutout to my best-friend who has been working as my therapist and helping me deal with these demons)

Four Pink Blushes for Spring

4/24/2018

Blushing with Spring

Spring has finally started to pop up here. Although rain is necessary for maintaining good agriculture and nature in general, I was starting to get way too overwhelmed with the quantity of water pouring every single day - plus the storms, with thunders and crazy winds - and getting sick because I would get wet, the cold...you can imagine the drill.

January Favourites

2/05/2018

As the month ended, another one came by. But before we start indulging into the new goods of February, let me present you what made me happier during January (at least regarding Beauty and Make up)
I'll try to pick up again the habit of writing about favourites during 2018, since I was not able to do so during 2016 and 2017. Let's cross our fingers!

Blushes for the Summer

6/17/2016

After the Pink-Coral Lipstick for the Sprin/Summer, I decided it would be a nice idea to do a the same for blushes, specially when is't one of the products I enjoy wearing the most. I don't know, I just feel that a looks doesn't look complete without a hint of blush on my cheeks. It is probably one of the items I collect the most - alongside with lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes.
In terms of shades, I am proud of owning a good selection. At least in my humble opinion - I own corals, peaches, pinks and even more dark shades - like Seduction from NARS. But I have to admit that I tend to select more bright shades than darker ones, which is why I felt it would be a nice idea to do this post. There are options for all pockets and tastes.

(from Left to Right : Benefit Sugarbomb; Benefit Coralista ; Soap and Glory Peach Party ; Aritaum  Sugarball Velvet in 03 ; Aritaum Sugarball Velvet in 04 ; Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 )

Starting with the more coral-toned blushes, I have to admit that my selection is quite extensive and overwhelming somehow...I mean I can see how the first tree shades look similar in the swatches (although they look totally different on my cheeks ). Benefit's Sugarbomb is a gorgeous peach shade that sadly I tend to forget because I have it depoted ( usually people depot things so that they don't forget them and then there's me...who does the opposite), but still whenever I use it I fall in love with it again and again. It gives a gorgeous glow to my skin, looking all healthy and good looking.
And although they seem almost the same on the swatch, I have to say that Benefit's Coralista is quite different from Sugarbomb - sugarbomb has a mix of brown while coralista is a true coral. I reach more often to this one and I still remember watching Ingrid (from the YT chanel Ingrid Nielsen) raving and raving about this chanel. I totally understand why.
Next, from the same shade-family but with more sparkle to it, there is Soap and Glory's Peach Party which I tend to use alone (with very light hand) or on top other blushes as a highlighter. It's probably the most versatile blush I own and I recommend it to anyone who likes a glow on their cheeks,From the Korean Beauty Department, I couldn't do a post without mentioning Aritaum's Velvet Sugarball Velvet blushes in 03 and 04. The first shade is a more peach-tone shade that leaves that really good-looking and healthy flush to the skin and that looks amazing with any type of look. The other shade, 04 , is a more reddish toned blush that requires more of a light hand. Still, it is a lovely shade to wear during this time. And lastly but not least from the row, there is the Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 - the most orange blush from the bunch. I really like it's texture because it has a cream-to-powder formula, which mean it isn't too messy and doesn't look weird on the skin. It also hods on the skin quite nicely.

( from left to right : Nars Orgasm ; Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop ; Soap and Glory Love at First Blush ; Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 Tea Rose)

Considering the more pink side, I see I can get more ( actually I shouldn't...but hoarding blushes is such a interesting thing...). Anyway, the first option had obviously to be the cult-favourite Nars Orgasm - seriously, it is indeed a gorgeous blush. It is one of those that looks pretty with any type of look.
But to be honest, one of my favourite options had been the Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop, which makes me think why Cliniques doesn't release these babies in my country. The formula is just beautiful - it looks creamy but it isn't. And looks amazing on the skin, holding itself for more than 8 hours (which is a win).
The Soap and Glory Love at First Blush is the pink brother of the Peach Party I talked previously. I like to wear this little guy on it's own or on top of a matte blush as an highlighter. If you are looking for an affordable version of the cult-favourite Shimmer Bricks, this is an option to consider.
Lastly but not least at all, the Bourjois Cream Blush in Tea Rose was the first blush I got from the range - it's a gorgeous everyday pink that gives a really healthy glow to the cheeks. Again, the cream-to-powder formula is amazing and totally worth to check.

And these are my blush options for the Summer. I might not do this type of post for eyeshadows because I tend to gravitate to the same shades - neutrals and pinks. But I might do one regarding nail polishes (mostly essie since it is what my collection has the most right now).
I'm also thinking about doing some book-related posts and more lifestyle related posts...would you guys like that idea?
Thank you very much for reading! And if you have blush recommendations feel free to share them!

5 High End products worth to try

10/03/2015

Hello Hello! How's everyone?I know I said I was going to post more but...between my first week of school and life I wasn't really able to write posts. I'm really sorry for that but, we all know what the priorities around here are right? I love blogging and I love writing but...faculty tends to come first. ( and also tends to give me good ideas as well)
While looking at my vanity I understood that I've been investing more into high end beauty rather than budget beauty. That gave me the idea of selecting 5 products I believe are totally worth their money that you should try for sure if you have the opportunity. I have to admit that this time I got more make up than skin care but I might do more posts like these in the future so, more products might appear here. I'm also thinking about doing a blog post with a few selections for the Fall/Autumn Season - I used to do big posts with tones of blush shades and eyeshadows but this year I'll probably stick to the basics ( and try to recreate a look as well)
So, without further due here are 5 high product I believe you need to try and why.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiant Pads

If there's something I believe everyone should try are these pads. Ever since I started using AHA and BHA instead of mechanical scrubs, my face improved like no other. I mean, no more crazy breakouts and less clogged pores? What else can I ask for? Seriously, everyone should try them - even if it's just the travel-size box.

Benefit Rockateur Blush
So you want a blush that goes with anything and stays on place all day? Check Rockateur. I got because I was quite intrigued with it but now I feel in love with it. I believe it's one of the best Blush purchases I ever made.  I might even get another blush with this type of shade because of this bad boy

Nars Seduction
I know, it looks quite scary but it looks so pretty. I love this type of shade for the Fall and Winter time and believe me, it can make a huge difference to your collection.

MAC Craving Lipstick
I got this lipstick because of Shayne from Queen of All you See and I'm really happy about it. It's one of those lipsticks that can make you from off to on in less than a minute. Whenever I don't want to work too much on my eyeshadow but I still want to look Fabulous I just grab this bad boy.

Too Faced Natural Eyes
What can I say about it? It's like a combination of the 3 Naked Palettes but...with better quality in my opinion. The shadows are super buttery and they last a lot - whole day without creasing or going anywhere. You can make all type of looks and it's really travel friendly. Seriously, give it a chance

So, what do you think about my choices? I'll probably do a similar post to this one. Maybe I should do one with Budget Friendly options?
Also, I'll try my best to post my September Favourites next week as well. But again school and personal matters have made my life quite crazy. But I shall survive as always.
Thank you for reading and don't forget to participate on the giveaway!
Take care, have a nice day!

The 2014 Makeup Favourites

1/19/2015

Now, the makeup favourites.I know, this should be online like...last week? But ugh...Life is crazy. I've been having a huge blogblock where I can't write anything. I just can't...It's so depressing because I actually have a few good ideas but I just can't write them here.
Anyway, I'm getting better. I've been hanging out with friends and trying to be as happy as possible. Time heals.

Now, into the beauty-stuff. I tried to many new things in 2014...and the same will happen in 2015 for sure. You'll notice that I didn't choose a palette, mostly because I couldn't decided between the Naked 3 and the Nude Tude...So I decided to not include them. Next time maybe?

So, starting off with the face products, my favourite base/foundation was for sure the Benefit Big Easy. I like it for lazy days where I just want to even out my tone and leave. I like how I can manage to not use a powder with this one, since it has a cream-to-powder finish. I already have to new bases to try out during 2015 but, I might repurchase this on in the future, specially for the summer time.
As for concealer, MAC Studio Finish Concealer was good find, it's amazing to cover any blemishes and marks that I might have due to hormonal spots and other problems - like a food allergies...
In terms of highlighting, Benefit High Beam and Benefit What's Up were my choices. Both look amazing on my skin, although I'll be sincere - What's Up deserves more points because I never expected it to be this good. I'll get the full size for sure!

In terms of blush and contour the prize goes to the Nars Orgasm and Laguna duo. Seriously, when I don't know what to wear, I like this. It looks and super pretty on my skin. Pure perfection I say!
Last but not least from this section, the Catrice Prime and Five Mattifying powder is a long-time favourite. I finally came to terms into ditching my old Rimmel Stay Matte power - which I don't really like by the way - and although I might try one or another powder, this one is a safe choice and I'll probably promote him as handbag staple.

Eye stuff. Simple and fresh was the key.
So because of that, Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit deserves a spot here. You all know how much I love and I even purchased another shade because how much I loved this one. Easy to apply, And the same goes to the MAC Paintpot in Painterly. I mean, it's my favourite base. I might use my eye primers but I love to use this one as well because it makes a huge difference. It's one of the best purchases I ever did from MAC.

The VM Hypoallergenics Ooh-La-lash Mascara is so far the best mascara I ever tried in my life. Seriously, I mean : I don't react to it, I don't cry, I don't feel my lashes heavy and it doesn't smudge. It's made in Korea and made me super curious to try out Korean and Japanese Mascaras, because I'm tired of ending up with a bottle of Mascara that's a pain to use due to the fact that I can't wear it during a full school-day.
The Catrice Made to Stay Inside Eye  Highlighting Pen deserves the award for the Longest name ever...besides that, it's really amazing. It stays on my waterline, I didn't get any bad reaction and the colour is just perfect to making me look more awaken. I'll be repurchasing this for a while.

Lastly but not least, the Argent Makeup 201 Brush is the perfect blending brush. I mean it. It has the right size, the bristles are super soft and my makeup never looks scary or crazy. And epic win, I dare to to say.

Lastly but not least my lipstick choices go to the Too Faced La Crème Lispicks in Cinnamon Kiss and In the Buff. Both have one of the most comfortable formulas I've ever encounter and the pay-off is really good. I was able to snatch them during the Summer Sales last year and I'm really happy for it.

I Know, this is probably one of the worst posts I've even done but I promise that I'll try to get new content with better quality during the rest of the month, specially reviews and a huge Empties Post. There's also more makeup shopping to show - a shame, I know. So stay tune!

Thank you again for everything, take care!
With Love,
Diana.
