Two Favourite Peach Blushes for Summer
7/04/2018
Getting that Hint of Peach
I love to wear peach blushes, specially during the Summer time. I don't know why, but there's always something in me that reminds me of of the warmth of the season. I also tend to either wear more warmer shades or to just do simpler looks - because no one enjoys having their face melting under 35º+ right?
Clinique Pop Blushes

A Pop of Blush with Clinique
I believe I have been talking about these blushes for ages around the blog by mentioning them in various posts. And yet I have been for months - I am not joking - been planning to talk about these bad boys. I actually took three different sets of photos - and at this point the current set might have changed again before posting. If this ain't perfectionism, I don't know what it is.
April Favourites

What I have been loving in April
Although I did not post my March Favourites, I thought it would be a good idea to still post post my April Favourites. This month was a mix of feelings - work is starting to appear, summer planning is also happening, God of War 4 was releasedFour Pink Blushes for Spring

Blushing with Spring
Spring has finally started to pop up here. Although rain is necessary for maintaining good agriculture and nature in general, I was starting to get way too overwhelmed with the quantity of water pouring every single day - plus the storms, with thunders and crazy winds - and getting sick because I would get wet, the cold...you can imagine the drill.Glowrious Duo | Soap and Glory

Blushes for the Summer
6/17/2016
In terms of shades, I am proud of owning a good selection. At least in my humble opinion - I own corals, peaches, pinks and even more dark shades - like Seduction from NARS. But I have to admit that I tend to select more bright shades than darker ones, which is why I felt it would be a nice idea to do this post. There are options for all pockets and tastes.
(from Left to Right : Benefit Sugarbomb; Benefit Coralista ; Soap and Glory Peach Party ; Aritaum Sugarball Velvet in 03 ; Aritaum Sugarball Velvet in 04 ; Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 )
Starting with the more coral-toned blushes, I have to admit that my selection is quite extensive and overwhelming somehow...I mean I can see how the first tree shades look similar in the swatches (although they look totally different on my cheeks ). Benefit's Sugarbomb is a gorgeous peach shade that sadly I tend to forget because I have it depoted ( usually people depot things so that they don't forget them and then there's me...who does the opposite), but still whenever I use it I fall in love with it again and again. It gives a gorgeous glow to my skin, looking all healthy and good looking.
And although they seem almost the same on the swatch, I have to say that Benefit's Coralista is quite different from Sugarbomb - sugarbomb has a mix of brown while coralista is a true coral. I reach more often to this one and I still remember watching Ingrid (from the YT chanel Ingrid Nielsen) raving and raving about this chanel. I totally understand why.
Next, from the same shade-family but with more sparkle to it, there is Soap and Glory's Peach Party which I tend to use alone (with very light hand) or on top other blushes as a highlighter. It's probably the most versatile blush I own and I recommend it to anyone who likes a glow on their cheeks,From the Korean Beauty Department, I couldn't do a post without mentioning Aritaum's Velvet Sugarball Velvet blushes in 03 and 04. The first shade is a more peach-tone shade that leaves that really good-looking and healthy flush to the skin and that looks amazing with any type of look. The other shade, 04 , is a more reddish toned blush that requires more of a light hand. Still, it is a lovely shade to wear during this time. And lastly but not least from the row, there is the Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 - the most orange blush from the bunch. I really like it's texture because it has a cream-to-powder formula, which mean it isn't too messy and doesn't look weird on the skin. It also hods on the skin quite nicely.
( from left to right : Nars Orgasm ; Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop ; Soap and Glory Love at First Blush ; Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 Tea Rose)
Considering the more pink side, I see I can get more ( actually I shouldn't...but hoarding blushes is such a interesting thing...). Anyway, the first option had obviously to be the cult-favourite Nars Orgasm - seriously, it is indeed a gorgeous blush. It is one of those that looks pretty with any type of look.
But to be honest, one of my favourite options had been the Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop, which makes me think why Cliniques doesn't release these babies in my country. The formula is just beautiful - it looks creamy but it isn't. And looks amazing on the skin, holding itself for more than 8 hours (which is a win).
The Soap and Glory Love at First Blush is the pink brother of the Peach Party I talked previously. I like to wear this little guy on it's own or on top of a matte blush as an highlighter. If you are looking for an affordable version of the cult-favourite Shimmer Bricks, this is an option to consider.
Lastly but not least at all, the Bourjois Cream Blush in Tea Rose was the first blush I got from the range - it's a gorgeous everyday pink that gives a really healthy glow to the cheeks. Again, the cream-to-powder formula is amazing and totally worth to check.
And these are my blush options for the Summer. I might not do this type of post for eyeshadows because I tend to gravitate to the same shades - neutrals and pinks. But I might do one regarding nail polishes (mostly essie since it is what my collection has the most right now).
I'm also thinking about doing some book-related posts and more lifestyle related posts...would you guys like that idea?
Thank you very much for reading! And if you have blush recommendations feel free to share them!
Before anything else, please allow me to wish all of you a Happy 2016. I hope this gets to be the year where you realise your good wishes. Seriously, just be happy. Even if that means being stubborn and go against the flow.
I haven't made too many wishes for this year except being happy and healthy. I could do a huge list of things to accomplish but...would that be worth of something? probably not. Anyway, this is not meant to be a philosophical post or anything like that. Now that I am finally on break from the Faculty until February, I am going to take this time to be with friends and of course work a bit more on my blog. ( remember that really pretty tab? I deleted it by mistake and now I need to re-do the code...patience I guess)
I'll eventually do my 2015 Favourites post. I am still deciding weather I do a post with a Top 10 including all types of products - from hair care to nail polish - or if I do different posts mentioning different products from each category. Any idea?
As for today's post, as you can see by the title and by the humongous quantity of photos, that I'll be discussing H&M Beauty Department and what I think about it. If you want a spoiler I would say : I'm loving every bit.
I was really surprised with the collection. The price is comparable and sometimes cheaper than what asked at the pharmacy's and markets here for budget beauty items. The packaging is also quite pleasant. Yes, it's all plastic and I wouldn't recommend you drop one of the blushes on the floor and they don't have mirror on but, there is an attention to detail that wasn't expected. The collection is sober and coherent. I wouldn't mid display any of these items next to a Chanel or a Dior blush for example.
The elegance that was obtained here is a true delicacy. But it's not only the packaging that it's something worth here believe me. The quality of the products is also another plus.
( on the left side Cameo Pink ; on the right side Dusty Rose )
To start off, I wasn't planning on getting nail polish since I'm really happy with my Essie collection but for some reason I felt like I should give them a try. I'm happy for that. So far I own the one that's presented in the photo - True Tyrian - and another one called Plum Fool which is a really pretty bubblegum pink. The Nail polish consistency is really creammy and I only need 2 coats and the finish is really amazing. It also doesn't chip for a week, which is a true wonder for me.
I decided to get a shade from each of the blush categories to have an idea of how they are. Cameo Pink is a brownish pink from the H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blush collection and although I saw someone complaining about it, it's one of my favourite bluhses for the season. I can use it for any occasion or eye look. It doesn't matter if it is a dramatic or a more neutral look, it will look amazing.
Dusty Rose is a gorgeous everyday simple rose cream blush from the Pure Velvet Cream Blush collection and I have to say that I probably like this more than my bourjois cream blushes. I like to wear this alone or with Cameo Pink on top of it. It's one of those shades that give a healthy glow to the skin.
( from left to right : Copper Bullion ; Dauphine Truffle ; Ginger Snap ; Russet Rose ; Pale Nude)
Nest, I have to admit that I probably went a bit on board with the eye department. But I have to say that I don't regret a bit.
First of all, their eye liners are something everyone should consider. I love creamy eyeliners for a pop of colour or to use on my water line. So I can totally recommend the Colour Essence Eye Pencil - I got mine in Copper Bullion, which is a gorgeous brown, perfect for everyday wear - and the Soft Kajal Eye Pencil - which I own in Pale Nude - for my water line. They aren't expensive and they are worth every penny. I'll probably end up getting myself more shades of it.
If there's something I always like to have in hand are cream shadows, because they are easy to wear on those days were I can't bother to blend everything in place or to wear as a base for a make up look. With that in mind, I have to say that the Colour Essence Eye Cream shadows are a nice option if you are looking a good affordable cream shadow - I got mine in Dauphine Truffle which is a nice deep brown that is perfect for everyday looks or to serve as a base for more deep and elaborated looks.
Lastly but not least, I really do recommend you to give a try to the High Impact Eye Colour shadows - the selection is to die for : from mattes to satins and shimmers ; from neutrals to bright colours. You'll be able to find whatever you are looking for. I got myself Ginger Snap and Russet Rose , which although they look really similar on the swatch, russet rose tends to be more redish than ginger snap - which is more orangeish.
(Savoir Faire ; Bramble Ripple ; Au Naturel ; Saudade ; Bonne Vivante ; Chocs Away)
Starting off with the lipliners, I'll be quite sincere here : I don't really own that many. It's something I usually can skip, with exception for those really bold colours were in fact I need extra help. As long as they aren't drying - like one I still won from Flormar - I'm not that picky about lipliners. Which is why I went for a red lipliner like Savoir Faire, which I tend to grab whenever I use my Etude House Lipstick in RD301 - they match nicely and it helps containing any bleeding that could occur. Bramble Ripple was a necessary addition, since I need a more purple shade to wear along side my Etude House Lipstick in RD302. Au Naturel was something I decided to get because I feel in love with the shade and allows me to create a really interesting effect with Chocs Aways for example. Overall, the H&M Lip Definer collection is something you really should try out if you are looking for a good lipliner and aren't that picky about shade matching.
As for their Lip Colour To-Go , I'm quite impressed with the variety of textures, colours and types they present. I was able to grab a more sheer Lip pencil in Saudade, which is really good if you want to use something more bold, but not that bold - it can be more intense if paired with Bramble Ripple for example. If you are fan of a more creamy texture, Bonne Vivante is probably a good option for you, specially because it's one of those " my lips but butter and extra special" type of shade. I really like to wear it on more casual days. Lastly but not least, I have to bow at their matte pencil in Chocs Away since I can easily compare it to my Nars Matte Lip Pencil. It really comfortable, pigmented and stay in place without any problem.
In the end, I'm really happy with this collection and I would recommend any of you to try it out. It's not everyday that we are able to find make up like this at this price point and with this quality.
Thank you for reading and take care!

The Adicted to Blush TAG
6/30/2015
Finally, something that it's not a review....I mean, don't get me wrong but after some time I kinda feel that I need to post something that it's me talking about the details of product. Something more fun and light is always a good idea I think to switch things a little bit. Which kinda makes me think that I should prepare more makeup looks posts...
But today's post is a TAG. I was Tagged by Sleep and Water ( I'm so sorry for only posting this now...Thank you for tagging me!!) and I felt I had to make this one ( no Shayne, I didn't forgot about you tag either! ). I really like blush...It's one of those things that I like to play with. And collect. Although I make sure to only keep things that I like and I know I'll be sure to wear. It's not the first time I pass on something because I'm sure I won't be using it as much as I thought I would. So prepare yourselves for a post full of blush photos.
1. What blush colour suits you the most?
I believe that peach corals and dusty rose blushes are something that will always make me look good no matter the situation or makeup I have on. It's the type of Blush I tend to gravitate more. Examples of that are Benefit's Coralista, Nars Orgasm and Benefit's Rockateur.
4. Favourite Matte blush?
I don't really use too many Matte blushes...unless I'm using highlighter to add the extra glow. Or if it's Winter - Matte and Winter go nicely together. For this reason I tend to grab either Nars Seduction ( my favourite winter blush) or Turbinado from Sleek.

2. Pressed, Cream or Loose Blush?
For sure pressed. Cream is okay too but I'm too messy and with the luck I have half of the blush would fly away or spill on my makeup table. Even today I manage to spill a quarter of my Essie Base/Toap Coat on my desk table. Pressed blush is a safe choice.
3. Favourite Shimmery Blush ?
This one is quite hard...mostly because of of the blushes I own are shimmery. I personally like to have a certain glow on my cheeks. If I want something more natural I go for Benefit's Coralista but I want something more vivid I go for Soap&Glory's Peach Party - which seems like a nice dupe to extremely expensive Bobby Brown Shimmer Bricks.

5.Favourite Cream Blush?
This one is easy since I only Own Bourjois Cream Blush in 03. I really want to get more Shades from this collection and more Stick blushes but I always tend to grab more powder blushes. Not really sure why since it's quite easy to apply this with my bare fingers....
6. Favourite Drugstore Blush ?
For sure Sleek trio in Sugar and Soap & Glory's Peach Party along side with The Body Shop's Blush (it's not really drugstore but it's quite affordable). Most Drugstore blushes here tend to not be that pigmented or don't have shades that I really like...which is quite sad.

7. Favourite High-End Blush?
Because I have more High-end blushes than Drugstore this was quite hard to pick...But Benefit's Coralista, Rockateur and Sugarbomb had to be on this list since they are the ones I end up using more on a daily basics. I also really like Nars Outlaw.
9. Your biggest blush disappointment?
For sure a Catrice Blush I owned back in the day. That things wasn't pigmented...having it or not on my face would look with same.
10. Blush with the Best Packaging?
Packaging is something I really appreciate. Although I think they are quite bolky and big, Benefit's blushes are really pretty. My favourite is for sure Coralista's packaging. I also really like Skin Food's packaging...I mean who can resist to something like this?
But in terms of size The Body Shop has it right. Their Blushes don't take too much space on my makeup bad whenever I need to travel.
11. Blush Wishlist?
Oh...I shouldn't answer this...But I really want to get my hands on Nars Deep Throat and on Benefit's Hervana. Oh and Too Faced's new blushes!!! They all look so nice and pretty. And on the side of "I wan't but can't get", Tarte's blush in True Love, Fearless, Achiote, Blissful and Natural Beauty.
12. Your Holy Grail Blush?
Right now? Probably Benefit's Coralista.
Lastly but not least I'll tag Shayne , Andreia and Maria Inês to do this tag.
Thank you all for reading! Take care

8. Favourite Bright Blush?
I don't really own many Bright blushes...The ones I really wanted aren't available here...So my picks go to Aritaum Sugarball Velvet Blush in Nº4 and The Body Shop's blush in 06. I specially have a soft spot to Aritaumn's because it really makes a difference on my pale skin.

February and March Favourites '15
4/10/2015
So yeah, two months of favourites in one post. And you would think that I would have a lot to share. I actually do...but since I've been experiencing with so many products, I had to condense everything into what I've been really loving.
I'm still working on processing tones of products, my thoughts, taking photos, editing and writing. So yes...I might be able to do a specially week with a new review per day...what do you guys think?
Anyway, let's jump into the favourites.
Guys...Girls...We need to talk really seriously about the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. I got this palette in February and I've been loving it ever since. Whenever I have a big day or an event were I want/need to have my eye makeup all done without any type of creasing, it's this that use. It gets to the point were I was out of my house for more than 10 hours and my eye makeup was fully intact...If that's not good, I don't know what it is.
After falling in love with Sugarbomb from Benefit and during a trip to a Sephora to get a special gift for a special lady - no worries, you guys will eventually understand for who it was in a couple of days - I looked to Coralista and to Rockateur and...they made it into my stash.
Coralista is a beautiful peach blush that I'll be sure to rock during this upcoming spring and summer. It gives a gorgeous look to my cheeks and I don't know what I've been doing this whole time without it.
Rockateur on the other side is a darkish pink. It's my " I don't know what a heck I should place on my face" kinda of blush. It doesn't matter the look or the event, it will look amazing and making me look good.
For those who don't know, during this current month I've been playing with some new Korea produts - reviews are coming, I promise! - and of the things that I really wanted to get was a Lip Concealer. After some research, some out of stock options, I ended up going for the The SAEM Lip Concealer. I really like how it comes on a tube, making quite easy to apply and later spread the product - it also makes it nice for MUAs since it's more hygienic. It's not drying at all, leaving a "some-kind-of" powdery feel. Almost like velvet.
Also, as I mentioned I really loved the Natural Eyes Palette, but there was another eye product that really caught my eye - the Kiko Color Up shadow stick in 10. Because it's matte, I can use it as my base for any type of look (it's what I've been doing) and I can see how this guy is also helping my eye makeup to look polished and "uncreased" for a little longer.
Lastly but not least, the Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Primer is so far my favourite primer. I love it's packaging, smell and texture. Doesn't mess with my makeup at all - I'm looking at you porefessional - and doesn't have that really usual "silicone based" texture that most primers have. Although I want to get a more hydrating primer and try out the new Etude House primer, I'll for sure repurchase this guy without thinking twice.
So these are my favourites. Besides this the only thing I can really call a favourite is the Assassin's Creed Unity and my beloved Xbox (yes, I'm currently playing video games)
Thank you everyone for reading!
Take care, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
