Autumn Look
11/04/2013
Hello dears!
I said that I would be gone during the weekend, since I was going to visit my dear best friend Tercy. She is currently living in Caldas da Rainha because her college is there. Quite a nice village! We had a great time, from cooking, travelling - we went to Óbidos and to the beach as well - watching One Upon a Time in Wonderland (yes I'm a huge fan of the show! Alice, Cyrus and Knave are my favourite characters. And I hope that Alice gets to meet the Red Queen with her hood stick in her hands - if you know what I mean...).
Anyway, we also took the time to visit this beautiful park where we took amazing photos. I'll be sharing a few of my favourites today. The ones that you'll see were all taken by Tercy. She has a facebook page where she shows her amazing cosplay's. If you like Card Captor Sakura,Kobato and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles you will love her work for sure!

My look was quite simple. I didn't wear any makeup because we were just having fun and this photos where taken Sunday morning - I was leaving Sunday afternoon and I would probably fell asleep during the trip back home and I didn't wanted to do that with makeup on my face.
For clothing, my jacket is from Zara (I got it last year during Christmas) but you can get one that looks the same from Primark (and for half the price actually). My shirt is from Pull&Bear and I got it 2 or 3 years ago, but since tartan is quite fashionable this wear, you can easily get something like this anywhere. The trousers are from Bershka and they are pretty old and I don't know where you can get a similar pair. My bag is from Deeply and my boots are from Seaside, a Portuguese brand.
It was a really nice experience and I really want to repeat it again and again. Maybe spending more time than just a weekend, who knows?
Al last but not least, I want to leave you with my favourite photo.
Please take care everyone, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
October Favourites'13
11/01/2013
Yes, another Favourites post!
I managed, between school work and packing for a weekend trip (I'll take photos and share a bit of that later next week!) I was able to get this post written (so yeah, this is a pre-done post, sorry!).
Anyway, let's get into it!
Argent Makeup 102 - It's a multi-task brush - perfect for contouring, blush and powder. I got it three weeks ago at InBeauty in Lisbon (along with the ORLY nail polishes) and it's a major favourite. I love to apply blush with him.Contouring is also quite easier with him. And Powder? A true wonder. I seriously need to review all the Argent Makeup Brushes!
Sephora Flashy Liner in Flashy Brown - My favourite eyeliner pencil. Cheap and amazing, what else can I want? I specially loved to do a Smokey eye with him early this week. If this ever runs out, I'll be sure to get another one from Sephora! This pencils need more attention! (Maybe I should include them on my next "Budget beauty? )
OPI Malaga Wine Nail Polish - Because of him I was able to have the best dual-chrome purple nail polish this month. I had to include him!
ORLY Angel Rain - the OPI nail polish couldn't work alone you know? This on top of any opaque nail polish gives the best dual-chrome effect. I'm happy I got it and I need to keep experimenting with him!
ORLY Top2Bottom - Amazing. The best Top&Base coat I ever got. I want to try their instant dry top coat because of this! My nails didn't chip like crazy. Yes, a true favourite.
Kate by Rimmel London in 03 - The perfect nude. I haven't been crazy with my lipstick lately, specially because of school. It's a really pretty colour, super moisturiser and easy to apply. I think I need more lipsticks like this in my life.
And these are all my October favourites.
Please take care everyone!Have a nice day!*
With Love,
Diana.
Hello everyone!
I decided to start with a new segment here on my blog called "Budget Beauty" where I talk about nice products that are friendly to our budgets. I have to admit that I tend to love high-end products, but there are a lot of Drugstore/High Street products and cheaper alternatives that I really enjoy. I guess there's space for everyone, right?
So today's product : Catrice's Made to Stay Cream Eyeshadow (they call it longlasting eyeshadow, but it's cream eyeshadow!).
They are amazing, quite pigmented, easy for me to get and in my opinion, they are easier to work than the Color Tattoo's from Maybelline. Obviously they can't be compared to a MAC Paint Pot, but still, they are worth to check.
My only issue with them is their packaging, because it's quite small...I can't use my finger to remove product without having product under my nails...and for days where I want to just place something on my leads and run out from home to get the bus to school it's not really nice.

I own 4 colours (I believe there are two more, I'm not sure) and they are all perfect for daily wear. Specially for the Fall/Winter time.
The first two are 070 Mauvie Star (the purple one) and 080 Copper&Gabbana (the orange/goldish one).
Mauvie Star it's amazing, although needs a bit work and care since you don't want this all over the place. But it can be warn alone - although I would use a bit of Naked from Urban Decay (or any other nude eyeshadow) to soft the edges.
Copper&Gabbana is amazing! You can use it on it's one, but it's perfect for a Smokey eye, specially with brown liner/eyeshadow. I usually do the Smokey eye with my Sephora Flashy Waterproof Eyeliner pencil (another Budget friend).
At last (but not least) we have 040 Lord of the Blings (the silver one) and 050 Metall of Honor (the dark brown one)
Lord of the Blings is amazing. it's a really illuminating eyeshadow that you can easily sweep on you leads and without effort look amazing. It's also a really pretty base.
Metall of Honor in the other hand, need a bit more work and we need to be really careful, otherwise, this bad boy smudges everything when applied. But, when applied correctly, it's amazing. Although I would use really heavy mascara with this, otherwise it will look quite...dead?
Anyway, this precious cost around 4 euros (if I'm not mistaken) and I'm pretty sure that you can easily find them or order them. In Europe it's super easy to find, since Catrice is a German brands (it's the bigger sister of Essence). I'm not sure about the US...
If you can, try to check this guys.
I hope that this post was good enough. I tried my best to work with the natural light.
Please take care, have a nice day!

Sometimes being crazy is good...
10/25/2013
...because than I'm able to do strange things and create amazing ones.
Okay not that amazing, but yet nothing that people usually do.
I've already mentioned that I went to a beauty event and that I got a couple of nail polishes and makeup brushes with discount there. One of the nail polishes I got was Angel Rain from Orly. It's a pretty metallic and exotic blue colour, but that alone wasn't that amazing. It was pretty light...So I was like "maybe if I add a darker base, the colours might stand out more". Because of the violet hint I saw I thought about using a red base...best thing I ever did.
The colour didn't turn out as blue as I initially wanted, but the effect I got was even better. I end up with a violet dual-chrome colour, with hints of blue and green.I even got complements from my father's wife (who is very picky with nail colours).
I'm thinking about keep trying using different colour bases with Angel Rain. I might get more personalized colours (which is lovely! I won't be interested in buying a dual-chrome nail polish right now, believe me!).
Now, what did I used to get this?
The hidden star is Malaga Wine from OPI. I got it last year (it was my aunt's present) during Christmas. I wanted a classic dark red for the winter time. It's perfect to wear alone (I promise I'll show you that in the future). I'm not a red nail girl (I think I'm still very young for them) but I love dark reds, almost burgundy ones. It gives me a Gothic feel (because I'm kinda pale...)
But sometimes...it's perfect for experiences like this. And of course, Angel Rain from Orly. If it wasn't because of him, I wouldn't try to play around with nail polish like this. It was a recommendation from a friend...I'm glad I got it. I'll probably try to get more nail polishes like this.
This combination was on my nails for a all week without chipping. I also want to mention that I used Orly's To 2 Bottom (Top&Base Coat) as a base and as a top coat.
Where to find them? In the US you can easily find OPI at Sephora and many other stores. Orly can be found at Ulta.
For Europe (although some countries probably have already local physical stores and distributors - like in boots if you live in the UK for example ) and the rest of the world you can always order Orly & from Beauty Bay or from enails.

Have you ever tried anything like this?

Pretty Rebel for the Cold Time! | Review
10/21/2013
Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette
I got a free period again to post, after re-catching my Chinese lessons ( tomorrow will be History...and a bit of Literature as well). I think you guys might like this post.
So, last month I had a bit of splurge and I got Too Faced's Pretty Rebel. It's from their Fall collection and to me, it's amazing if you want something to wear during the fall and even the holidays (like Christmas and New Year's Eve)
This palette is (apart from my "yet to finish" Inglot palette) the best in terms of materials used to do the overall packaging. The card board used is super strong - even stronger than the one used on the Naked Palette. The top has this really nice stripes that contains the brand name and the palette name and the back has the weights an where the palette was made. The actual ingredients are just printed on the box (I might take photos of that and leave it here if you want).
The mirror has a pretty decent size and I personally love all the details effort they took into making this.
In therms of size, the width is the same of the Naked Palette from Urban Decay and the length is the same of a Inglot Freedom System Palette (the ones of 5 eyeshadows and the ones of 10 eyeshadows). It's quite handy and easy to travel and Store.
On, "shadow speaking", the palette has this amazing mixture of everyday neutrals and really funny and crazy colours for the night time (or even for everyday if you are felling a bit more edgy) or, just like I said for the Holiday. But I'll speak more in detail.
Dainty is the always need matte cream white shadow. Nice to highlight our brow area or (in my case) to set my MAC Paint Pot.
Charming is a nice matte brown shade.A bit chalky sometimes, so be careful with that. I like it define my eyes.
To me Girly is the prettiest shadow of this palette. Also, just like Gangsta, it's super creamy and blends out with no problem. It can be used on the outer corner of the eye or even used jut by itself since it's a dual chrome shadow. Perfect for a more effortless and yet edgy look for the Fall/Winter time.
Totally Fetch is amazing. Matte but not chalky at all and super pigmented. Amazing for either a nigh time look or a more edgy fall look.
Miss Sparkle is a Matte with Sparkles shadow. A bit chalky, but nice for a classic smokey eye or for lining your eyes.
Ringleader is a satin shadow that does pretty much what Daity does, but leaving a pearly effect on the leads. It's also really amazing to highlight the inner corner of the eye.

Gangsta is one of my favourite shadows. It's super "creamy" and blends beautifully. For a "always" nice look I usually just blend it with Ringleader, but in my opinion it also may be quite pretty if worn just by itself on the lid.
Instigator is Pure gold. I love Half-Baked from Urban Decay, but this Bad Boy kicks it with no problems. The pigmentation is crazy. Perfect for a Christmas or New Year's Eve.
Badass it's pretty but needs a bit of a work. Some people may not like it, but if you are someone who love to build up the colours, you will love this for sure. But has a Denim feel that I quite like.
JailBird is pure silver. Just like Instigator, it's amazing for a Christmas and New Year's Eve look. Although I would pair it with Miss Sparkles for a classy Smokey Eye.
Overall, I'm happy with this palette. Some eyeshadows need a bit of work, but other are super amazing. If you want to invest on a palette that has both neutral everyday shadows and super crazy and specially shadows at the same time, this is the one.
I got this from the Portuguese Sephora for 45 euros if I'm not mistaken. A bit pricey, but because the amazing quality of 80% of the shadows and the amazing packaging I it's totally worth it.
In Europe you can find this palette at any Sephora that sells Too Faced (believe me, if Portugal has it, any other Sephora has it for sure!At Least Sephora.fr has it as well). If you live in a European country without Sephora or other country that doesn't have Too Faced at all, I recomend you to check BeautyBay where you even have free shipping. In the Uk, I believe that Boots also might sell this (I'm not 100% sure since it's not listed on their website)
In the US/Canada you can easily find this in Stores or order it from Sephora.com or Too Faced.com.
I hope that you enjoyed this review. I tried to be as complete as possible.
I'm not a Makeup Artist, so this is the view of someone who buys makeup for daily wear.
I'll try to photograph tomorrow's look using some shadows from this palette.
Oh, and if like my nail colour, I'll be doing a post about it by the end of the week.
Please take care everyone, Have a nice day!

Not Ugly at all | Nail Polish
10/15/2013
Hello! How are you?
I'm finally going to do my first Nail Polish post!
I'm a huge fan of nail polish. I pretty much like everything. Except bright reds because I don't think that they are appropriate to my age.
Anyway, my nails are sensitive. I always need to be careful with what I use, because if the consistency or the nail polish formula isn't good it might made my nails weaker. And than they start to chip and broke. Which you might think "oh that not the end of the word". Maybe, but since I love to draw and write, if my nails don't have that perfect length things get harder and messier. I'm crazy I know.
So today I'll be showing a nail polish I got recently from a beauty market last weekend. I get 4 nails polishes (3 colours and a top&base coat) from Orly (an American brand) because they had discount. And I have to admit that if it wasn't for Tania ( here ) who introduce me to this brand and told how wonderful it was, I would just stick with Essie, China Glaze, OPI and Sally Hansen (and maybe BarryM ).
I got this one because I'm on the haunt for the perfect mint colour. I wanted to get Essie's Mint, but for some reason I can't found it in stores here. I might have to order it online.
This is a nice colour. But it's not perfect. One thing is that it doesn't have a glossy finish. It has a hint of shimmer. Also, needs to be build up. It's not bad, it's just that I'm not always available to paint 3 coats of nail polish...(a nice thing to do is to pass a opaque nude colour before applying this. It will help a lot).
Although, I'm quite pleased that it didn't chip. I was afraid that it could do that since I had to pass so many coats. After all, this baby staid on my nails all week without chipping. Good, right?
So, this is Pretty-Ugly nail polish from Orly (now you understand the title, right? ).
The usual price here in Portugal is 10,99 euros, but because I got this on the Beauty Market I only paid 6,50 euros. I've search for some online stores. I might be able to get more colours from this brand.
In the United States, as far as I know, you can get this brand at Ulta.
Thank you very much for reading this post.
Please take care, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
Some Love for Skin Care
10/02/2013
I'm sorry for taking so much to right a new post.
Things have been crazy around the house. From the fact that we will have some working around the house (the attic will be turn into two bedrooms for me and my brother and will be made a bathroom for both of us), my grandmother's health appointments, my dad's wife health exams, picking up my grandfather from his massage sessions (because he has problems of bad blood circulation and other problems on his legs) to the really depressing raining weather...there has been no time or zen time to post here. I haven't yet photograph my September favourites and working on some other makeup posts. I also want to mention that I might post even less in October. With the working around the house and school starting next week (I'll be taking Chinese classes this year!), I really want to focus. And there is the possibility of getting a part-time job (which is really nice actually. Having my own money and some independence is something delightful!).
Now, about today's post. I decided to talk about some of my recent Skin care discoveries that are now favourites and staple products on my routine. I want to tell who are them, how I apply them and why I love them so much. Like review them, but not with major detail so to speak.
Starting with two The Body Shop products. The facial scrub is amazing. At least this new and improved version. It looks like a gel, but as soon as we spread the product into our face and massage it, we can feel the scrubbing power. My skin has been healthier now, since I now, can remove dead skin cells properly. The old version was a complete rubbish. It would scrub a thing. I guess that's why they revamp this one. I use it like...every tow to three days at the nigh time after taking my makeup and cleansing my face. I'll repurchase this for sure!
The Tree oil is another wonder product. I finally was able to get this year. This baby kills bacteria and kicks breakouts like no other. I don't have to many, but when I have, 2 to 3 days with this and they are gone. Although I have to admit that recently I changed the way I use this. I mean, it's supposed to be used as a spot treatment, but recently I use it every night. Three or Four drops onto my hand and I rub it all over my face. I've seen improvements after using the product like this.It helped smooth my face from the small clogged pores and future breakouts.
I finally found what I can call the perfect moisturiser! Besides the fact that I have oily skin, I also have really dehydrated skin. Basically, if my skin isn't properly hydrated, it will produce more oil. But the main problem is, most moisturises contain oil and don't hydrate at all. They just pretend that they do it. Bur randomly I found and tried this one (the tube you are currently watching is my second one actually) and it change everything. Hydreane legere is the best moisturiser I ever used. It doesn't contain any oil. Actually, the main ingredient is Thermal Water. I use it everyday after washing my face in the morning. I won't be looking into a new moisturiser for the day time any soon.
To finish off, my beloved eye cream (actually it's a gel!) DioptiGel from Lierac won't be leaving my routine any time soon. I use it every night and sometimes in the morning before applying concealer under my eyes. It's non-greasy and my skin absorbs it really easily. I have a bit of curiosity around other eye creams, but now this a all time favourite.
At last- but not least - we have my beloved Effaclar Duo. You check my review about it here. I love it because it wonderful with my spots and acne scars. I use it every night after applying my Toner and Tea Tree Oil.
I promise I'll try to do the best I can to post more often. I'll be working around some makeup review's , favourites and fall looks!
Please take care everyone! Thank you for all the love.

Small haul and Birthday presents
9/22/2013
Hello dears!
I want to share a little haul, that it's going to include some products I got from my grandparents (because of my birthday). Anyway, I want to say that I don't buy this type of makeup all the time, I just usually use my birthday and Christmas money to get specially more high end makeup products (specially palettes). So please don't get mad! (And yes, you might see more products later because my aunt and my dad have yet to give me their presents)
Sarting with products that have nothing to do with a From Bourjois, I finally....but FINALLY got myself a cream blush from Bourjois. I spent all my Spring and Summer reading British bloggers raving about them. When they finally hit our stores I saved some money and I got one for myself. It's really amazing! I want to buy all of them (in time, in time!)
From Catrice (if you are familiar with Essence, Catrice is like a "big sister" to Essence. Their products have a more "solid" packaging, are a bit (like 1 or 2 euros, depending on the product) more expensive but their quality is amazing. They launch their own version of the chubby sticks and I'm really happy with them. For 5.69 they are really amazing. I want to (in time) get more colours.
Yesterday I went to the supermarket and to Well's (it's like a Drugstore/ParaPharmacy) And I this four items. From Well's, I got the Brow Gel/Mascara from my brows. I got the brown one because I thought it would be better than the clear one ( I have brown hair and brows anyway) and I got that small eye pencil - Made to Stay inside eye Highlighter Pen - because I saw a review from NikkieTutorials about how amazing this product was - even better than her favourite Ben Nye pencil !!. I tried out today and it's amazing. I want to try more products from Catrice because of this!
Than from Bourjois again, two Color Boost's (Red Sunrise and Fuchsia Libre). They started to sell them on my local supermarket (with some luck, they also start to sell the cream blushes!). I'm glad that I was finally able to get them. I'll be on the haunt for the other two ones.
And now the fun part. I got all of these items with money that my grandparents gave me. Otherwise, I wouldn't nothing (with the exception of the Mini-Sephora palette that was a gift from...Sephora.). But that have to say that I'm quite happy with what I got.
You guys are probably wondering why did I get this and not the Nude'Tude palette. Well...Nude'Tude isn't a limited edition or a "new season" product. It's something I can get any time during the year, while Pretty Rebel from Too Faced is a fall palette. I knew this palette from other reviews and promotion photos. I'm really glad that I was able to get this baby. The quality of this shades (and even the palette material) is amazing. I really need to invest a bit more on Too Faced products!
My favourite shades are (of course) the more nude shades, but the pink one is just heave, along with her neighbour. Anyway, I'll be working making a nice review during October (I may take a while...I'll announce why soon!)
I've swatched the blush (It was applied on me during a Brow Session on Benefit's BrowBar, which is why I got it) and it's pigmented and beautiful! If I ever finish this, I want to get a full-size version!
I'm looking forward into getting also TropiCoral and Felling'Dandy.
Finally something from my wishlist!
I've been haunting this kit for ages! (pretty much since it was launched). I'm happy that I finally was able to get it. The only product that I'm quite unsure is the Benetint...I though it would be a bit more pigmented? Maybe I'm using a wrong nude lipstick with it. Anyway, I'll be looking more into it before making any review. I like to be really sure about products before talking about them.I've swatched the blush (It was applied on me during a Brow Session on Benefit's BrowBar, which is why I got it) and it's pigmented and beautiful! If I ever finish this, I want to get a full-size version!
I'm looking forward into getting also TropiCoral and Felling'Dandy.
And the Sephora gift. A really small (almost travel size) palette with a blush, 4 eyeshadows and 2 lips products. I'm quite happy with this. Last year, Sephora's present was a facial cream...Now this I'll use way more than the cream. It's amazing to carry out on my hand bag or for travels.
It's everything for today.
If you want to see a review on one of this products please tell me! I'll eventually talk about them all, but if you want to see something first I'll work on it.
Please take care, have an wonderful day!
