December Favourites'13

12/28/2013

Finally I'm able to write something. I was lucky enough to have time and good weather to photograph this. Starting with Balea's Hand Cream, I got this as a birthday gift from a German friend. I'm not a huge fan of hand cream, but this  is amazing. The scent is good and the texture is perfect - fluid and absorbs quickly. If there is something that I hate is "silicone" based creams that only mask hydration and don't absorbs at all.
Next, my trusty Bioderma Sébium H2O needed to me mentioned. Although I'm thinking about tying out other cleansing waters (like caudalie's or nuxe's for example), this is a really good one.My skin doesn't feel irritated, it cleans it very well. The only down side about this product is the fact it takes a lot to remove waterproof products. Besides that, it's a really lovely product.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would buy a few things from LUSH. Besides this amazing scrub - Let the Good Times Roll - I also got a solid shampoo called Seanik (which isn't here because I was too lazy to get him...I'll be working on a review later). This scrub is made of popcorn and it's a delight to wear. But for those who have acne and more sensitive skin, I won't be recommending this, since it's quite harsh (which is why I won't be getting Ocean's Salt like I thought I was...if this is harsh, that one is even worse!)
Painterly from MAC is a true wonder. I can wear it alone or use it as a base to other eyeshadows. They usually don't crease when I use this (unless it's super hot or if the eyeshadows aren't that good). Best purchase from MAC!Although, I have to admit that the new Benefit  cream eyeshadows are a really good alternative and worth to check.
At last but not least, L-Mesitran Soft Wound Gel. At the beginning of the month I had a huge cold which for some reason ended up ruining my lips as well. The wounds would hurt and look really ugly...I end up visiting my local Pharmacy and asking for something to heal this...4 to 5 days after my lips were better, without pain or swelling!I' know that medicines aren't a proper thing to show, but I really had to share this. I almost couldn't eat because of the swelling...it was horrible.

So, that's it for today's post.  Take care everyone!
Have a nice day

With Love,

 Diana.

LUSH'urious Wishlist

11/28/2013

So, tomorrow I'll be visiting a local LUSH store (not so local actually!) because, among other things, a dear friend will celebrate her birthday next Sunday and I wanted to get something nice for her (she has been dealing with some skin problems). Oh, and I wanted to get nice things for me of course. I have to mention, that this is a very "all over the place wishlist". I won't be buying everything, I do have (sadly) a limited budget. So, unless I get a budget upgrate tomorrow, I'll be getting at least 3 of this things for me and one for my friend.

Herbalism, it's presented as a cleanser and exfoliating that purifies our skin. I've heard that it's amazing for those who have oily skin, because takes care of that, but doesn't over do it. Some times, cleansers can leave our skin way to dry, although, sometime it our fault because we forget that we should always moisturise our face after cleansing. Anyway, it looks like a really fun product to get and try out. And since my actual cleanser is giving his last breaths and I'll have a full bathroom to stock up my cleansing products (although I can't use too much space, I'll be sharing it with my brother after all).

I Love Juicy, is a clarifying shampoo target to those who, like me, have to deal with oily hair. It doesn't matter if it's summer, winter, if it's a sunny day or a rainy day - my hair will get oily. I really hate that. And I can't use the supermarket shampoo's for oily hair.  For some reason I'm allergic to them ...
I saw a review of Ingrid (or Missglamorazi on YouTube) saying that sometimes this can be way to clarifuing and that we can't use it all the time but, I'm planing on getting another shampoo to intercalate with this one.

The Round Container is something I need to get since, I'm planning on getting the Seanik Solid Shampoo. I've heard really good review's on this bad boy. I really can't wait to try him out. Specially, because he is amazing for when I decide to go on trips. I'll be sure to tell you what I think about him.

As a holiday special, I really want to get my hands on the Let the good times roll facial cleanser. At least here, it's a holiday item and I've heard that smells amazingly like...popcorn. No  need to go to a cinema I guess. It's a bit like a Herbalism, but without the exfolianting properties.

At last , but not least, the No Drought  is a dry shampoo to use on those days where we don't have enough time to wash and dry our hair or when we got camping. (not that I do it).  I want a dry shampoo to SOS situations, but sadly I can't get my hands on a Batiste can.

And it's it. I also want to visit The Body Shop because I got some eally amazing cupons. I want to get my hands on their new eye makeup remover and on their tea tree masks. (and their bronzer, lipsticks...who know what more).
My next post will be for sure another Eyeshadows for the fall post. I'm still working on another one and don't worry, I'll be talking about blushes and lipsticks.
And by the way, what have you tried from LUSH? What would you recommend?
Please take care everyone!Happy Thanks Giving to anyone who celebrates it. Have a nice day!*
With Love,
Diana.

My Lip Helpers! | Review

8/05/2013

Hello!
I think I should start this post with a bit of introduction, since is my first post on this blog.
I already own another beauty blog called Style from Wonderland which is written in Portuguese. For some reason I felt the need to have my "international space", specially when most of the blogger's and youtuber's that I follow are international (some South Korean, Americans, Kimdao which is Australian, NikkieTuturials which is from the Netherlands and many, really many from the United Kingdom and I follow two really awesome bloggers from Luxembourg!) and my beauty ideas and opinion are heavy related to that. So yeah...I have two blogs now! I'll try to keep up with both of them. Maybe I can write a better post about myself later :3

So, today I decided to talk about two of my favourite lip products. I seriously can't live without them.
A bit of background : I have really dry lips during winter time and I get infections/irritation/allergies really easily - which mean totally inflamed lips and super dry skin on my mouth. It's terrible and makes my system totally out of myself, because I can't talk or eat properly. I used to have more Vaseline base lip balms, which aren't the best choice. They don't moisturise at all, they pretty much just cover the lips and that's it...they wouldn't fix my allergies or irritation...it made me frustrated.

So, because I'm a huge fan of The Body Shop products, I decided that it would be nice to test their lip balms and I informed myself about which ones would be the best or not. Besides that, I decided that it would be nice to pare it with a nice lip scrub. It meant another trip, but to Lush (so sad that we have only a few rare stores...a real shame!). So I got Sea Butter lip balm from The Body Shop and Bubblegum lip scrub from Lush.

The sea butter lip balm is amazing. At first I didn't like it, because I wasn't used to lip balm's without Vaseline. I didn't understand that it would took a bit until I could see the effects. Luckily, I usually try to use my products continuously 2 to 3 weeks (or even more) before I get to formulate an opinion. After a full week, I started to see the results coming. I lips where looking a lot healthier than what they were and even my lipsticks would apply easily and properly than when I used my old lip balms. They would last even more. The consistency is thick during the cold weather (I got this around May or June I believe, when we got a really cold weather) where we need to warm up a bit the product before we put it on the lips, but during the more warm weather is amazing. There are way many flavours to choose from. I'm thinking about getting a chocolate one and a strawberry one in the future.

The bubblegum lip scrub is another hit for me. I wanted a scrub because of the dry skin.
This (along with the lip balm) worked it. Every day I would scrub my lips after doing my night skin care routine and brushing my teeth. After that week, I saw my lips improving and improving.
I know that for a lot of people, this wouldn't be a really important product because you can actually make you own lip scrub with honey and sugar. Sadly, I have a really bad relation with honey and, I never know when those scrubs expire. For this one, I know that I won't have to bother before 2014's February. Besides, there are more flavours, like popcorn!

The Sea Butter Lip Scrub came with 8.5 gr. (around 0.3OZ) costing me around 5 to 6 euros.
The Bubblegum lip came with 25 gr ( I would say around 0.9 OZ? ) and it cost me around 7.5 euros.

The prices for both products may vary from country to country.
I hope that you enjoyed this post.
Please tell me what you lip helpers are or any new suggestions!
Please take care.

Diana.
