Why I am broke at the moment |A Haul

3/11/2019

"I solemnly swear I won't be buying more makeup (until I feel the need to"

Okay I admit it: I wasn't expecting to spend to much money this month but...it just happens. Although I can happily say that I ended up spending less since I was able to grasp a few reward money and deals.  Also, most of these are backups I needed because the products I have on rotation at the moment are used up. (yes this is me trying to convince myself that it's okay)
Most of my purchase was skin care. A mixture of both French Pharmacy and The Ordinary. And two bits from NYX. I also got myself a moisturiser from the Alex Steiner X Primark line and I am currently waiting for a huge order of books - yes...I am back at buying books. Guess I'll have to buy another shelving uni soon, uh?

"From Paris with Love"

From the French Skincare department I got these 4 bits. I got Avéne's Cleanance Hydra cleanser, since my current cleanser from The Body Shop is almost empty. I almost bought Cerave's hydrating cleanser but I am happy to say that this actually very similar to that and it's super gentle, while also leaving my skin fresh and clean!  Also from Avéne, I got their Cold Cream Lip Balm. For the past weeks my lips have been really chapped due to weather change (I'm kinda allergic to that apparently?) and this totally saved them! I'll be repurchasing this in the future.
After delaying for the longest time, I finally got the La Roche-Posay Serozinc spray! I love to wear this in the morning and after applying makeup and I've noticed how this helps with my hormonal spots and keeping my makeup looking fresh. And because my current eye cream is pretty much gone, I repurchase the La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra as an eye cream. I love it specially for the spring time where pollen and other nasty dusts usually make my eyes super puffy and hurt.

Ordinary and yet Important

I also ended up placing an order at Beauty Bay filled with The Ordinary Goodies. It started with me wanting to repurchase The Odinary's Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA as my night moisturiser. It is a simple moisturiser that makes me wake a really glowing and moisturised. I also repurchased The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 because it is the best hyaluronic acid serum I've tried considering it's price point. Alongside with the moisturiser, it makes my skin free of dry patches and any weird texture.
The new kid on the block is The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, which I'll be using as my day time serum. I got this after seeing how much Jael from Coquete à Portuguesa loved it and because I wanted something extra for my day time routine. I am yet to try it so I don't have an opinion about it so far.

"More makeup? Yeah kinda"

Probably the last thing I need is makeup but, all of these have a good reason. Starting with The Ordinary's High-Spreadability Fluid Primer, since I was looking after a new primer. I mean, I still love my beloved Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot primer but I've been feeling my skin changing and wanting different products. I also want to test how this goes alongside a foundation like Fenty Beauty's. I've worn this once I really love the look and touch it gave to my skin although...it appeared to leak a bit? It was a bit strange and I need to try it out more for sure.
To finish off my Beauty Bay haul, I finally got The Ordinary's Serum Foundation in the shade 1.1 N. I heard it's a really lightweight foundation - Ruth from A Model Recommends described it as a tinted moisturiser kind of product - and that's what I was looking after. I still love to wear my Fenty foundation for big events and such but I wanted something more natural for when I have classes and other earthly events. I've worn it once and I really liked it! Although I still want to used it more before reviewing it.
I also ended up going to NYX's store after reading Jael's Favourites Blog Post to pick up these two goodies. (actually I picked 3, but the third one is for my friend) The NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer was a really nice discovery and surprise! I am proud to say that my beloved Makeup Revolution concealer has found it's match. This ended up looking more yellow than what I was expecting but somehow it helps with concealing the purple of my dark circles. And lastly but not least, I got my self a mini NYX HD Finishing Powder because I wanted to get a new powder to have on my makeup bag but I didn't want to get anything big or overly expensive. For 3,5€ this does the job and I am now temped to get the Banana powder version to try out as well.

Having this said, I also ended up ordering a few books from Bookdepository. I've been reading more lately and I'll probably take a week this month to post a few reviews here as well. Spoiler alert: the ACOTAR saga is coming.

Have you bought any of these products?

A Very small haul

1/20/2019

Now that I am finally resuming my regular schedule, I want to start by sharing some of my recent purchases, alongside some of my Christmas gifts (because there's no point in making a different post). I've received mostly money, which I ended up using on my room renovation. (I can't believe I finally have a bookshelf that works for my needs!) I also went to Primark but I am still debating on whether I'll be sharing that particular Haul or not. (any thoughts?)
The Bullet journal
I'll start by talking about my recent pride and joy: my Tiger Bullet Journal! I've been wanting one of these for the longest time, but they were really hard to find here (most notebooks only have lined, blank or grid paper and I really wanted doted) and whenever I did the price point was way too high. On a recent trip to Tiger I saw this and decided that it was a "now or never" type of situation. I had completed my Happy Planner and wasn't really keen on spending another 20 to 30€ on a planner at the moment. The bullet journal will help me to stay on track and to spread my wings in terms of creativity. I've started to fill it and although not everything is rainbows and sunshine, I've decided to see this as a process. Things aren't always as pretty as we see on blogs, pinterest and instagram. Mistakes happen and that's okay.
I am planning to write more about my bullet journey on the blog, specially since I also ordered a pack of Zebra Mildliners and I am contemplating ordering a few stickers and washi tape in the future as well.
Zoeva Premiere Palette
I got this as one of my mother's Christmas presents. I really wanted another Zoeva palette (which wasn't released in the UK until after Christmas, which now makes me kinda mad to be honest) but after a few thought I realised I'd love and wear this palette a lot. I really love Zoeva's formula and this palette has 4 shades I can use on a everyday basics and the rest are perfect for events and special occasions. I actually wore this palette during the New Years Eve dinner party and it was amazing! A review will be done soon!

TonyMoly Cat's Purrfect Eye Contour Stick
Isn't this the cutest thing you've seen? I was gifted this by a college friend and it's by far one of the perfect gifts I got this year! She knows I love TonyMoly products (We spend a lot of time looking at them whenever we go to Sephora) and she couldn't have chosen a better product! This stick gives a gorgeous radiance and highlighter to my under eye area. It's a must have, specially during finals.

Make Up For Ever Mist&Fix Setting Spray
I repurchase this as soon as I got back from my trip for the New Year's Eve. My old setting spray had given his last spritz and I couldn't see myself getting a different one. I got the small version instead of the full-size one mostly because it serves my needs and it's super travel-friendly. It's by far my favourite setting spray and I won't be switching it any time soon.

NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Mintgreen
So, after a late purge into my eyeliner collection, I was left with zero pencils for my waterline are. Before you ask, the reason I got rid of many of those was because they were either too old or they didn't really work out for me. I decided to finally get one of the eyeliners from NYX. They are meant to brighten the waterline without being actually white. I ended up choosing the mint shade, specially because it's a shade I like but I don't own. I might get another shades in the future as well.

NYX That's the Point in Hella Fine
Although I've been a fan of gel eyeliner for the most part of 2018, I decided to get a eyeliner pen in order to my make up in a more simple and fuzz free way for whenever I have to go to UNI. I was going to get Another eyeliner from NYX, but after a conversation with the Make Up Artist there, she told me that this would have a better tip and hold as beautifully. I have to say, I never did eyeliner as effortlessly as I do with this eyeliner. I do hope NYX gets to release a waterproof version (although I have to say, this does stay in place for a good set of hours!)

A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy by Sarah J Maas
I got the box set with these 3 book also as a gift from my mum. I've been really curious about this author's work, specially because she writes about Faeries, something I actually grew up reading and enjoying. It's a take on folk mythology that has always intrigued me.
I've seen a tone of reviews about these books on goodreads - everyone loves them! So I am looking forward to read them as soon as I finish two of the books I am currently reading.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I've been a fan of Marisa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles saga and I've been really curious about this book. I am a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carol and I am curious to see how this retelling, focused on the Red Queen will play out. And can we take a bit to appreciate the cover? It's gorgeous!
What have you got recently ?

New Makeup I recently got | Small Haul

10/21/2018

After my birthday it was expected that I'd have already a major Haul here. But...for now I decided to only get these small bits. Mostly because I am hording until most of the Holiday releases and special kits (also Black Friday!!) And yet I still needed and wanted some treats.

A very small haul from The Ordinary and Revolution

6/18/2018

Because once in a while, there's nothing like a treat

I haven't bought anything beauty related for a while. But with the end of this semester and finishing a few important staples on my skin care routine, I decided to do a small haul at Maquibeauty/Maquillalia (depending on where you are) and I have to say, I am proud. I almost thought about getting something that I didn't need (in this case more lipsticks) but I decided to stop. What I was going to get wasn't really want I wanted to purchase so I decided to stop and instead of doing a mistake, I'll wait patiently until my birthday.

New acquisitions

7/28/2017

Guess who is finally trying to get some blog work done? I am currently on vacation but I thought this would be the perfect timing to work around a few posts. With that in mind, I'll be sharing a few things I've got during the last couple of months. A few of these ( specially what concerns skin care) are replacements of things that had previously run out or thought it was time to switch. I also had to grab sun protection since the summer time kicked with full force (and still I wasn't able of saving myself from getting a sunburn on my shoulders....)
As for the make up, the only really expandable thing here are the lip stains (aka matte liquid lipsticks) because I was really in need of the rest. Except the highlighters but those were a gift to myself for surviving my degree without getting insane. (hurray!)

First Impressions | Skin Care

7/03/2017

Hello! Hello! Here I am to share a few new items I got into my skin care routine. I decided it was time to shake things up a big  and some changes into my routine. (And I am not finished yet). I decided I need another toner for my morning time ( a simpler one, without acids or anything like that) and a new eye cream since I had an eye allergy at the beginning of the year - it wasn't pretty at all. I also wanted to try out The Ordinary since they seem like a really good brand with really amazing products at a really amazing price!

New In | Make Up

4/17/2017

Oh how I missed this! After spending almost 3 weeks without my laptop, I am finally able to write and post here like I wanted to! Today I'll be sharing a collective make up haul - meaning that I did not get all of these things at the same time ( by any means) - and my thoughts and first impressions on these. I'll probably be doing a more in dept review later. If there is anything you want me to review or compare please let me know!

Collective Haul and Birthday Goodies

12/06/2015

How many days to write a new post? I know...I'm feeling the shame too. I'm going to pass over the part where I apologize and say how busy I am with school and everything right now. I believe everyone has realised that my life is pretty much around that.  There's nothing I can do about it. ALSO!! I know the giveaway is over and during the next week I inform who is the winner and send him/her an e-mail asking for the details so that I can send the palette. A little bit of patience please?
Having that said, here I am with a Collective Haul and few goodies I got because of my birthday. I've been spending a bit too much but, in my defence, most of the things are replacements of products that are empty or that will be empty soon. ( or that's what I say to myself...)

So, from ebay ( yes, I've been adventuring myself a lot around there) I ordered a few goodies. From the same seller I got myself the SkinFood RedOrange MakeupFinish to replace my Urban Decay setting spray and I am really happy with the switch - I'll for sure buy more of this stuff instead of spending so much on a high end version - and the Holika Holika Sweet Cotton PoreCover Base which is at the time my favourite primer. It makes my foundation look amazing, it doesn't cost too much and doesn't have that really awful silicone feel that the primers from Too Faced and Benefit have.
Next I have to admit that this is the reason why I can't do more impulsive purchases. The Missha Time Revolution Toner you see here was part of a trial kit Missha released but the seller decided to sell it separately. I felt kinda default about it...but It's okay. The product is the same and that's what it matters. I'm still not sure If I will get later another 250ml version of the toner or if I'll finally give up and get myself the Pixi Glow Tonic. Any recommendations?
I believe everyone know how much I love cleansing oils, so when my beloved Innisfree Apple Jucy Cleansing Oil started his warning of " I'm about to finish", I decided to get another bottle. But I have to admit that I almost got something like the Banilla co. Purity Clear it Zero balm. I'll probably get the Clinique Take the Day off later instead.
And because it's always a drama whenever I travel, I decided to get a baby-version of the Garnier Micelar Water. I like to use this to remove the first layer of make up because my actual cleansing, so a travel version is always a good thing.
And I made the purchase of the year. This season Catrice launched their Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer which is pure perfection - it isn't too thick so it blends without problems and it covers my dark circles or any spot without problems. And I have the feeling that this is probably one of the closest things to the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer and to the Urban Decay Naked Concealer that I'll ever find from the Drugstore here.

While visiting a local shop that sells professional hair products and accessories to hair salons, I realized that they started to sell Real Techniques as well. I mean, Real Techniques with a fair price - most retailers here end up selling the brushes with higher prices than the norm which would make me not get them at all. Because I already owned a couple of brushes, I decided to get two of the items that sparked my attention before getting the other two missing sets. The Miracle Complexion Sponge was something I wanted to try for the longest times, mostly because I heard it gives a more natural look to foundations and concealers - and it is true. I'm actually thinking about getting a backup of this because of how good it is.Also from Real Techniques I got the Setting Brush, which looks more like a highlighter brush than anything else - and that's why I got it. You can also use it to set the concealer but..I use my regular powder brush to do that. Having this said, I believe it's also nice to apply concealer. Overall, it's a multi-tasking brush.
Lastly buy not least at all, my mother sent me and my brother a lovely packaging containing our birthday presents. She had asked me what I wanted and as usual, I decided to ask a treat from Soap and Glory, in this case their One Heck of a Blot ( And yes, I am super curious to try out their primer and foundation!!) and so far I've been liking it a lot. Now I understand why people used to rave about it! And although we have Clinique here, some reason de Pop Blush collection isn't carried here...so I decided to ask for two of their blushes in Plump Pop and Berry Pop and I am absolutely in love with them - they are super pigmented and stay on for a whole day without fading. I'm super impressed with their formula and I am thinking about asking for another 2 or 3 shades of this collection.

I'm currently waiting for a order from Jolse.com so I'll probably have another haul here soon...But first I'll probably post my first impressions on some of the items I got from the H&M Beauty Department ( It will be long and huge, believe me!!)
Thank you for reading, take care!

Korean Beauty Haul

6/11/2015

Yes, yes, yes. I'm finally back! For good if everything goes according to plan. School/Faculty is pretty much ending I only have to finish one group assignment and I'll have another test at the end of the Month ( but because it's like a second chance test and it's something that I'll do because I just want a better grande on that particular class, I'm okay with that. I also know what I need to study more so I'm quite relaxed....which is quite abnormal but good).  And I'm already preparing tones and tones of posts and reviews to share here.
I've also changed the layout of the blog, although I still need to fix something like the title of the posts. I went for something more simple than the usual because I really want to give focus on the photos and content of the blog. The previous blog look was some how quite harsh to the eyes and was taking focus of the photos - I mean, I work quite hard on those...it's a shame if I work on them and than they don't get the attention they deserved because of the bright pink I had.
Now today's post. I have to say that I've been ordering more stuff than what I probably need. Although I have to say that most of the things end up being backups for things that use on a daily basics such as hydrating serum or cleansing oil. Also, I've been particularly interested in Korean Beauty because they are usually cheaper than the western brand and not only that but they also have better packaging and most of the times better quality and ingredients. For example, I get to find more products with Hyaluronic Acid  with a nice price in Korean Beauty store tan at pharmacies or other places here. And even If I find them, they are always more expensive when compared to their Korean counterpart.
This particular Haul was made around May and it had two things in mind : the first was to get backups for skin care items that I was finishing  or that I really wanted to try and the second one was to get makeup items because I was going to attend an event at the faculty - I actually didn't go there but they where still things that I really wanted to try. Also, I had reward points to spend at Jolse.com and they were having this 15% sale at most of their items.
The only bad thing? I've made more orders since that...mostly because other products ended up finishing as well, Etude House had a free shipping event and I felt carried away while buying some Zoeva goodies. No more shopping until September, that's for sure. ( Are you guys interested on those hauls or not really?)
But now, let's talk about these products!

So stating with the skin care items. I've been taking care of my skin for a while and I'm finally getting into that point where I am happy and confident about it. I still have some marks and issues to take care but overall, I'm happy.
One of the things I always need to have with me is a cleansing oil. I like and tend to remove my makeup like this and so far it's the more effective way of doing so. When my old cleansing oil was dying, I decided that I should find something new to try...and that when the battle began. I wanted the best cleansing oil possible without spending too much money. I didn't wanted anything with mineral oil or with angry ingredients ( yes ingredients get angry and start the hunger games on my face. not really but...I tried to make a Joke, I really did). Most of the ones I was finding, even from brands like Skin Food The FaceShop had mineral oil or in cases like Etude House they had specific oils ( like lavender oil) that kinda irritate my skin when used with time. After a long research for products and ingridients on CosDNA.com , I found out that the Innsifree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil is probably the safest cleansing oil I've ever found. It has a really nice texture - it's not that rich or that light, cleanses everything without making my skin itchy and there isn't any problem so far in terms of using this to remove eye makeup. Actually, it's amazing to remove waterproof makeup, specially mascara and eyeliner. It has the lovely smell of Green Apple. The only downside of this is that it had fragrance and that might be bad for some people. But so far, I'm really happy. I'll do a proper review during July for sure.
Also, there is a new craze around sleeping masks in Europe. The body shop and other brands have been lauching them but...they are too expensive to my taste. After using a sample of the Lioele Water drop Sleeping mask, I fest in love. It has this really fresh texture and it doesn't take too much time to settle. When I wake up in the morning after using this, my skill is always looking fresh, hydrated and good looking. I don't regret getting this.
As a backup, I also got the Mizon Hyaluronic Acid serum, which is now a stapple in my routine. I won't be swiching him in the future, specially when it costs half the price of a Hydraluron tube.
Lastely but not least, I tried a sample of a Innisfree Green Tea Sheet Mask and I felt in love. I had to order more and so far I only have one left. I'm going to try a few from Etude House but so far I'm a fan. My skin has liking sheet masks and now I understand why Koreans love them so much!

Lastly but not least, I didn't went that crazy on the makeup side this time ( yes, this time...). I didn't have any item similar to what I got here so...it kinda makes it okay right?
So, Etude House is known for their super cute a princess style packaging and recently they teamed up with a illustrator and launched a collection called " dreaming swan" and that collection is all around ballerinas and ballet-style packaging. And yes, I have a soft spot for that kind of thing...
One of the things they have is the limited edition cushion cases. They had in the past one for Cinderella and another one for Minnie....but none of them made me want to get them...Until the Dreaming Swan Cushion Case was released. They have 3 different version but the purple one just owned my heart. It's made of sturdy plastic and the top is better than what I thought - it's not a sticker or anything like that.
Because you cannot do anything just a cushion case ( you could but...it's a waste..) I got a refill of the Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion in the shade Natural Beige w13 - which is a perfect match so far...with beach days it will get too light but I'll rock this during the school time because IT'S AMAZING. It's super light weight, comfortable and makes my skin look amazing. If you are looking for something with tone of coverage this isn't for you but if you want something that makes your skin look like your skin but better this is the deal. I almost ordered another case and another shade but...I already have foundation shades with my summer shade and I need to use them instead.
Also from the Dreaming Swan collection I got the Etude House Shine Volumer , which is basicaly an highlighter that you can use both on your eyes and on your cheecks. I really like for the inner part of my eyes, although it bugs me that I need to use an extra brush for that. But I really like, specially because once it sets it doesn't budge and leaver sparkles of glitter around my face.
And lastly but not least, I finally got a proper gel eyeliner. I went for the Holika Holika Jewel Liner because it had nice reviews and so far I'm happy. It's creamy and doesn't smudge or fade during the day. It was also fairly affordable.

So, what do you think?
I hope that you enjoyed the post and I wish you all a good day. Take care everyone!

With love,
Diana.

The first round of "What I got this Christmas"

1/02/2015

Fist  : Happy New Year guys! May 2015 be whatever you want it to be!
Now, yes you read it right. This is only the first round. Mostly because I'll still order things and I'm still waiting for other things to be sent out - like my mom's present, which sadly she couldn't sent before Christmas. And after all this madness of spending, I'll probably be on SpendingBan during the rest of 2015 - with the exception of repurchases and the new Semi-Sweet from Too Faced.

Starting off with the most expensive item so far, my Ray Ban Clubmaster Optics Acetate glasses (I think that's the actual official name of this particular design...I didn't pay too much attention when I choose them at the time). I needed a new pair of lenses and my old glasses were...old. So yeah, I really had to get them and although I'm still getting used to them, I really enjoy the design. If you are curious of how they actually look on me, you can check this particular Instagram photo which was taken when I got them. Oh yes, You'll see me with them around the blog for sure.

Next, we had the hair and body madness. I've been neglecting my hair for quite some time and...I can't keep doing it. My hair deserver love and attention. Usually I just wash it, dry it and that's it. But I want to change that for good. There's nothing like a good and healthy hair.

So, firstly I decided to get the The Body Shop Rainforest Balance Shampoo which I have to say...isn't the best. it kinda dries my hair too much. It doesn't have any SLS and doesn't foam at all but...it seems too harsh. I'll use it once a week as my clarifying shampoo but...I don't know. I'll used it up for sure but I probably won't repurchase it.

The Bumble&bumble Hair Dresser's Invisible Oil Shampoo was...a quite impulsive purchase. But a reall good purchase. My hair feels so soft after using it. It doesn't contains SLS but it has DSL -
Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate - which according to this website isn't as bad as SLS. I haven't reached my pharmacy friend and ask her about this but no worries! I'll do it before writing my review on this one but something I can tell you - my hair likes this stuff. I might be crazy and try more products from the brand and from this line.
The Body Shop's Raspberry Line was on Sale...And since it was something that I really wanted to try when it came out I though "oh well, it's now or never". Thank god I thought like that. The smell is just...gorgeous. And as another confection, I have to admit that I never really went into the game of body scrubs and body butters...after this I might stock them up (specially because everything is 50% off!!! Crazy I know!!). The Body Butter is just lovely. Hydrates my skin without looking greasy or taking too much time to sink in - I have friend who'll probably say "I TOLD YOU SOOO",since she's been telling me this for quite some time - and the Scrub? Pure genius. It does it's job without being too harsh or damaging my skin. The shower gel works like other shower gels...with the benefit that smells way better than the regular ones. I might get the Blue Berries line and the Pink Grape Fruit lines soon as stocking.

Oh yes, makeup. And yes, there's more to come in this department. Shame on me I know. But, I've been a good girl during 2014 and I've been clearing out my collection - I'm actually going to do another one soon (and just out of curiosity, everything is given to my aunt and cousin. Unless it's something out of date or like a mascara or something).

Because I really needed an actual foundation I decided to finally try the Clinique Even Better...I've used this and I think it's nice. It looks natural and seriously...that's what I'm going for. I don't like really heavy foundations - never did. I rad concealer a bit more than have a really heavy base. I'll be reviewing this one more in depth around February and March because I want to test it while I'm in school.

The will be applied to the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray - which I got in a very impulsive purchase. I mean...my current setting spray is dyeing and the bloody-thing has a air-cane system which is horrible for my lungs. I just hate that hing. And I know most people don't like this one too...but I tend to use this first after applying my primer and before applying my foundation and later after applying the foundation and concealer. This has helped me to keep everything in place. But again, I'll only have more clear thoughts around February and March.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in My Two Cents wasn't a planed purchase too but it's okay. I love this formula and this shade is just perfect for everyday wear. Oh yes, I need to get more shades from this particular line. This one in particular is just a no fuzz, no mess shadow. I can apply it, add mascara and leave the house and look amazing, natural and polished. All hail a good cream shadow.

Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation was actually a planed thing. I heard that it's a really good powder foundation and since I'm a total newbie to powder foundations I decided to get it and try it. So far I have to say that I love the Cocoa scent - it's the same from my Chocolate Bronzer - and I really like it. I mean, it's just nice for college or even as a powder that adds coverage. I'll probably pair this one a lot with my Benefit Big Easy and with a future BB cream that I'll get. (I promise that I'll stop getting foundations and bases...at least until I finish Big Easy, after that I'll probably get something else),

Lastly but not least, I finally got my "college style" bag from Accessorize. I've been wanting to get this baby for quite some time. It's big enough and yet isn't too big as well. Looks fine weather I'm more into classy or into casual. Perfection, that's the best way to describe this lovely bag.
And for now, that's it. I don't know when I'll post again since I'm now doing big renovations round my room and although I don't have classes I'll still have exams and other things to deal at the University.
Anyway, I hope everything is fine with you guys.
Take care, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.

The Birthday Haul

10/18/2014

So here I am finally to wrote this. Be prepared to a huge post of stuff and Spoiler alert : it's not the end! Because my dad has yet to gave me his present (and by the way I'm not complaining about it or anything, but he makes sure to tell me "I didn't forget about it" and I'm like "okay, sure"). I'm thinking about getting more skin care (like another serum), I want a BB cushion (I'm thinking about getting either the new Innisfree cushion or an Etude House one? Does anyone know if they are going to release their Holiday collection soon? They always launch pretty case and BB cushion versions for that). Oh and Etude House lippies! Many, lippies are in my wishlist...I really shouldn't crave I Know...but it's Etude House!

So, starting with what I got first, a friend used to sell Lime Crime and one day I visited her and mentioned that I was looking for a new primer that would survive my extremely oily eyelids and she ended up mentioning that she still had this Lime Crime primer to sell. I also asked her if she had any lippies and...she had Centrifuchsia, which was on my wishlist for years. I bought those as a birthday present. I'm really happy with them and I want more lip colours...but lime crime is quite overpriced now and the shipping is insane. Why Doe? Why!
Next, my mother asked if I wanted anything from the UK - she is working there - and I was like "Soap&Glory! Soap&Glory!" ( not literally okay?) and she got me these two amazing and gorgeou blushes. They are extremely pigmented...I dare to say, even more than sleek.
And Lastly but not least I got the Skin Food concealer and that Missha essence sample from an ebay seller - I don't really remember the seller's name! And apparently ebay will no longer work with paypal? (at least my friends were raging about that the other day...). The concealer is a great dupe for the Erase Paste from Benefit, Doing wonders to cover my under eye circles!

Next, from another ebay seller - again, not mentioning it because of the "won't working with paypal in the future thing ". I decided to get the Clio Kill Black eyeliner which has a brush tip...I'll probably get the one with the pen tip in the future to compare them and see which one works best. I'm still trying to figure out how it works. Because my eyebrow pencil is almost dead I enjoyed a promotion and decided to get two Etude House Drawing eyes Brow Pencils in 01 and 03 - which I love. Next step is getting brow mascara from them as well. And because my Bourjois primer is empty now, I had to get a new primer so I decided to give a try to the Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Base - WHICH SMELLS SO GOOD! - and works really nicely. I dare to say that works better than my all time favourite Primed and Poreless from Too Faced. I also got a bunch of Samples and I'm really curious to try the Tony Moly Tea Tree lotion - another future Skin Care purchase maybe?

Lastly but not least at all, from Jolse.com I got - alongside with a friend  - the Etude House real Art Cleansing oil which is really light and smells like oranges. Didn't break me out or anything, which is a good thing! alongside with a very interesting Mizon Hyaluronic Acid Serum - forget Hyraluron, get this. It's amazing and costs a fraction of the price. I wish I had found this sooner! And to finish the Aritaum Full Cover concealer - which covers everything and looks like a good duper for the Make Up For Ever Full cover concealer...with 25ml of product. Oh the amount of samples? AMAZING!
From all of the three packages this was the one that was more carefully packed and had more samples. I'll be getting more products from their store for sure. I guess you'll have to wait for November to see what I'll get.

So, what do you thing? Yes, there weren't any palettes which is a good thing - It's what I get the most...
I'll try to post my Autumn picks and favourites during next week. And yes, there will be reviews of the products mentioned!

Take care everyone, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.

Mostly, backups

5/21/2014

Yes, I'm still figuring out how to deal with light...because I have less natural light (and because it was raining all day long...Winter is coming earlier or something? ) I had to use artificial lighting and editing skills. Personally...I like it. could be better, but I try to work it in the future. I really wanted to know your opinion...
So, because of the huge collection of empties, I had to get backups / new replacements (and I got a few new items along the way...)
Starting with Garnier, I got their new Skin Naturals Micelar Water mostly because the pharmacy/drugstore I went didn't had Bioderma and I had heard good things about this one. So far I like it - it cleans well, leaves a moisture feeling...but has a funny smell. (I'll be sure to do a proper review during the next week). Also from Garnier, I got the Skin Naturals 2 in 1 Make Up Remover mostly for those days were I get home earlier and I want to remove my make up a few hours before doing a proper cleanser. From La Roche-Posay I got the Hydreane Legere which is my holly grail moisturiser and the new Hydreane Extra Riche which was meant to be my future night moisturiser. I'll have to pass him on that and get the Hydreane Riche and I'll explain why I won't be using the Extra Riche as my night cream in triple review and comparison.
From Bourjois, I saw that the local supermarket had received a stock of their CC Cream collection and had the lightest shade so grabbed their CC Cream it along with their CC Eye Cream in their lightest shade as well.(Review will be posted during the next week as well). And because I really needed something that would make my nail polish dry faster, I decided to get a bottle of their Instant Dry nail drops. I haven't tested it yet because I was on a "no nail polish week".
Lastly but not least, The Body Shop has a 3 items - 30% off promotion and since I needed a new toner and new cleanser I decided to take the opportunity. I got their Aloe Toner since it's recommended by Caroline Hyrons - it purifies the skin, doesn't contain any alcohol and prepares my skin for my night creams. Because I needed a third item but didn't wanted to spend too much money on it, I choose their Seaweed Clay Mask (unitary version)because cleanses and purifies my skin, leaving a spa feel. I really wanted to get the full-size but it's quite expensive...who know If I don't snatch it on another 50% item sale. And finally, the amazing Camomile Cleansing Oil - a very luxurious cleanser that removes every trace of make up and dirt while not over striping my face.

So, what do you think about these photos?
Oh and don't get scared, but I'll be doing a complementary haul later since I need to get Hydreane Riche and a backup of my beloved Effaclar Duo. Oh...and apparently Essie is now available at major supermarkets here as well (I won't go crazy, but I really wanted a nice pink and a nice nude shade...and a cuticle oil)
I promise that I'll try to keep the blog updated. Take care, have a nice day!

Small Drugstore + random Haul

4/30/2014

And here I am...with another haul..
So, starting with make up : Rimmel London recently launched (here at least) these new cream tint/blushes. I wanted something like this for a while so I decided to grab one to test. Currently they are only selling a pink and an apricot shade here. From Catrice I got 3 things : their Camouflage concealer - which apparently is a nice dupe for MAC Studio Fix concelaer? I'm thinking about getting that later so I'll be sure to compare them - because I was in a real need for a nice concealer; their Longlasting eye pencil liner in a nude shade because my beloved Inside Eye highlighter pen broke and I seriously need something like this to bright my waterline and lastly but not least their Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof which is so my the best setting powder I ever tried. This is way better than the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder...in every single way! I'll keep testing this and I'll be sure to do a nice review on it.
On the random side, I got a nice and pretty note book because I'm gaining the habit of writing my blog ideas and posts before taking photos and writing them here. It's a nice way to work when I'm not on the computer and to keep everything organized (for example, monthly favourites!). Oh and of course, Frozen's DVD. I really wanted to get this, specially because this version contains the original version. And yes, I don't like my country's version, mostly because they decided to get someone to sing and someone to speak rather than getting someone that could do both things. And I'm also mad with a few translations. (yes I know that they can't do literal translations but still...some mistakes are just bad). Overall, there's nothing like hearing Idina Menzel (not Adele Nazeem like Travolta said...) and Kristen Bell singing "For the first time in Forever" (reprise).

I'll be working on new posts for this week and for the next.Leaving the city for a while made me ready to work harder here.
I really want to thank everyone for your awesome support!
Take care,have a nice day.
With Love,
Diana.

And Yet...another Haul?

3/28/2014

Yes, Yes, I know. Another Haul? Don't get mad...Like I said on my previous Haul, I had a few things to get because the current ones where either gone or running out...Oh and don't worry, there will be another Haul coming because I'm still looking for a Concealer and I have to get two new skin care items (You'll understand why in a minute...OTL).

Bioderma Sensibio Eye Gel
My Current Eye gel is on the verge of ending. I have like...a week of use? So I really needed a new one (even knowing that I got sample from another eye cream, which I'll be saving for a special occasion) an I had seen really good reviews about him. Let's see how he works.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This is a Backup, I got it now mainly because of Sephora's 20% off offer. My 2 Drugstore mascaras are getting pretty dry and the Too Faced Mascara that I own is a complete mess...which would left me with a sample size of They're Real. I won't buying many mascaras (ok, I'm thinking about 2 Korean ones, but I'm still working on getting Kollectionk's 10$ coupon) in the next months so I think I made a nice purchase.

Benefit Big Easy Foundation/BB Cream
Remember the Recommendation post? I ended up getting this one because of the discount. My current foundation is ending (and sometimes the scent doesn't look the same, scary!) so, I had to get one ASAP. I've tried out twice and looks nice. It has a light coverage, but can be build and it's really light on the Skin. I still need to try it out a little more before writing any review.

Avène Clenance Mask
I've heard amazing reviews about this mask and I'me super curious to try it. Aparently it helps out skin by doing some chemical exfoliation with AHA/BHA complex. Yes, it wasn't the most affordable mask, but if it helps my skin during the SOS times, it will worth every peny. (and yes, I'm looking after a substitute to my current clay mask)

Lierac Démaquille Purete
This....Why me? I got this by impulse and I did a huge mistake. First I thought that this was an oil - it's a gel. Second, IT CONTAINS MINERAL OIL (bloody hell) . The price tag was on top of the bastard's ingredient name. I tried this and...I hate it. No, it's not good. My skin felt super horribly dried and twitching. I didn't wanted to do it so soon but, I'll have to get a Balm and a Oil Cleanser (probably from Innisfree) along with the concealers.  I'm also thinking about doing a "I regret buying" post because of this products (and Avène's foaming cleanser as well. What a bad luck...two bad cleansers in a row!)

L'Oréal Ever Sleek Shampoo & Conditioner
This is part of their "Sulphate-free" range but I'm not sure if it's really sulphate-free (Let's see if it Foams or not...). I recently finished a bottle of conditioner and I'm the verge for finishing another of Shampoo so I had to get these. I'm crossing fingers here...I thought about getting The Body Shop's range but went for this because of the raves. No, I don't need another two products for my regret post.

So yeah...here it is. I'm so mad about the cleanser/make up remover thing.I'm just crossing my fingers that the TBS cleanser doesn't finish until I get the ones. My skill will cry in despair T__T
Take care everyone, have a nice day!

With Love,
Diana.

A Little myself Haul

3/12/2014

Yup, I got a few things for myself (and for a dear girl, but I can't show it, since she reads the blog ). I'll be on a "no buy"  for myself during the rest of March and middle April. The only thing I might buy are the toners, since mine is out and I need it. (I might get a mascara too, since mines are dying and the Too Faced one is just awful...)

theBalm's NUDE'tude palette

You might call me crazy, but this is still a Christmas gift. I saved the money and tried to get it in January but it was sold out everywhere. February arrived and I was like "ok, I'll just pre-order it", so I pre-order it at MakeupPt because I know the store's owner and I trust her. In the end, the palette arrived (or should I say, I picked it up) last Friday. It's so pretty and I'll have lots of fun with this precious.

Bourjois Color Edition 24H cream Eyeshadow

I'm really curious about this product. I saw a not so good review about these but...I don't know, everyone seems to love the Color Tattoo from Maybelline and I personally don't like them at all...Let's see how this performs. I might try to get another colour in May or June.

The Scret Bag

The Secret bag is a montly service like Ipsy or Glossybox. I won't talk too much about the items here because I'll writting a post about all the items. In General I can say that I'm super happy with this month's bag. I got a backup and 3 items that I really needed and wanted.

And it's all. Take care dears, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
