My new Favourite Sephora Lip Stains | Review + Swatches

8/03/2018

I believe everyone has heard about the Sephora Lip Stains - now in both Matte and Metallic finishes - and how amazing they are. I have mentioned them before on the blog, but I got new shades and ultimately new favourites. Today I'll be sharing what I think about them and how much I love them.

The packaging

The packaging of these is very simple and along the lines of Sephora's own brand. The doe-foot applicator has the letters of Sephora engraved and is a very classic black, while the case is transparent and show the products shade.  It also has the letting with the names of the product and the shade numbers are on the bottom. The complete names of the lip stains can usually be found at sephora.com.

The price point

These are probably one of the most affordable and really good matte lipsticks that I own. Each one of these cost me around 12€ at my local Sephora, but they often do special deals and coupons with which I can get them for less than 10€. Their quality rivals with brands like Huda Beauty in my opinion, Specially because they have a huge colour selection, amazing quality and they won't bleed. Actually, unless you eat something super greasy, they won't budge at all. I also find them super affordable (when compared to other top brands).

(from left to right : 23 -  Copper Blush ; 24 - Burnt Sienna ; 38 - Sweet Raspberry ; 41 - Vintage Rosewood)

23 Copper Blush - is a very gorgeous muted nude lipstick with some rose notes in it. I really love to wear this on a daily basics. It's that lipsticks that I will wear whenever I really want to wear something on my lips but I really don't know what to wear. By far my ultimate favourite, so much that I even gave one to my best-friend on her birthday!

24 Burnt Sienna - I recently mentioned this on my post about favourite red lipsticks. This might not seem at first by the swatch, but when paired with a red lip pencil, this really pulls that deep red lip look that I really love for when going out and specially in the winter time. Contrary to other liquid lipsticks, this bad boy won't bleed. I just use the lip pencil because it helps me to get a proper base and to achieve a certain effect.

38 Sweet Raspberry - This is the brightest shade of this particular bunch and all I can say is that I love it. It is my go-to lipstick when I want something that it isn't nude but isn't too deep either. Perfect for every season too, although I tend to wear it more during the summer.

41 Vintage Rosewood - The latest baby of my collection. I got it after stumbling upon a swatch on pinterest and I had to get it. I literally went to two Sephora stores hunting this shade (I was looking for 40 Pink Tea as well, but it wasn't in stock at the time). Much like 23 Copper Blush, this another ultimate Favourite for any occasion (currently swimming in my makeup bag right now.

Have you tried any Sephora Lip Stains? And if so, what are your favourites?

    1. Yees!! I think they can easily be compared to brands like Huda Beauty and KvD (which I won't be getting anymore since the Anti-vaccines issue) while costing half of the price! (and with a wider range of shades)

Wishing you all the best! Take care*
