I heart Drugstore Makeup TAG
4/11/2014
Yes, I've been doing one TAG every-single week this past month...Oh well they are really fun to do and they give me more time to test and get my thoughts about what I'm wearing recently. I've "stolen" this TAG from V-Side : Vain Alter Edo (aka Victoria com Makeup, etc ) and here we go!
What's your Favourite Drugstore brand?
I'll say Bourjois because I own many products from them and I really can say that all of them are a hit for me.
What are your favourite face, checck and lip products?
For face I'll say the Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer - a bit overpriced here, but it's really amazing and helps me with my makeup. For cheeks I'll go for the Java Powder (also from Bourjois) - gives me a nice glow and natural appearance and the packaging is user-friendly, so it's always a plus! Lastly, for lips I have to mention the Kate by Rimmel London Lipsticks - their quality is amazing and very "MACish" which is nice, since they only cost a fraction of the price.
Least favourite Product?
Probably the Rimmel London Apocalips because they are too messy for my taste and didn't perform like I thought they would.
What's your best Makeup bargain?
Probably the Catrice highlighter pen for my waterline. For 4 euros, you get a pencil that competes with brands like Ben Nye.
What is your favourite Underdog product? (Something you Love that often gets over looked? )
Bourjois cream eyeshadows! For me they are way better than the Color Tattoo's from Maybelline.
Show your best Drugstore Dupes :
Nars seduction vs Sleek Demerara - on the Pan they don't look nothing alike, but on the swatch and on the cheeks they are very similar. The only difference is the lasting finish (Nars lasts a lot longer than Sleek)
(Nar's blush is the right one and Sleek's is left one)
Benefit highbeam vs MeMeMe Beat the Blush highlighter in Pearl Pink - they look like twins! The only difference is the texture, since Benefit's has a gel consistency and MeMeMe's has a more liquidly one. The rest is super similar!
(Benefit's is the right one and MeMeMe's is on the left)
Drugstore Product that's it isn't worth the Hype?
Maybelline Color Tattos! I've talked about them before - I can work with them since they don't blend nicely and crease a lot!
So here it is...I'll probably post another TAG on Sunday but I'll get back with review's during the next week don't worry!
Take care, have a nice day.

Products I Regret Buying
4/07/2014
Let's get back to the beauty world, shall we? Although I try to always research products, reviews and swatches before buying anything, there is always space for error and regrets. I often do an organization cleansing - I go after everything and see what I use or not, what's good and what's ready to meet the trash. This helps only maintaining with me what I really use and love and helps me space wise. There is no need for me to keep things with me that I don't use and like. A few I can still use, giving them other tasks, but others...it's difficult.
I also want to mention that, this is my personal opinion. I Know a lot of people that love a few of the things that I show. Just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean that it can't work for you.
HC+Probiotici Shampoo for Oily Hair
This is terrible. I got this from a "Biologic store" and...I was totally deceived. This is not biologic at all and it was terrible, terrible. It has way too much SLS. It over strips it so much that my scalp was flaking off like there was no tomorrow and my hair would be super oily after drying it. This is the worse shampoo I ever used in my life and I have no intention of buying it again. I'll be using the rest as a brush cleaner. I don't recommend this at all.Lierac Démaquillant Purété
Horrible. I don't like this at all. It's quite "mineral" ( in a very mineral oil way), doesn't remove make up properly and again, over strips my face. I'm really mad for getting this because...I can't use it. It's just bad.I tried it twice on my face and it was horrible (got a few pores clogged and a spot inflamed) and I tried to take a few swatches with it and it was hard....I had to go there with my cleansing butter to remove the rest of the traces. I won't be buying this ever again and I have no idea of what I should do with the remaining...
Avène Clenance Gel
The best that started my pet-hate for SLS. I got this because my old The Body shop cleanser was gone...It's like fairy on my face. This claims to be soapless, but foams a lot. Over strips my face...it got to the point where my T-Zone was super, super oily and my cheeks (were I'm prone to spots) were super dry and inflamed. This is just good to remove foundation from my brushes...if I ever think about getting it again, it will be for that purpose one.
L'Oréal Glam Shine 6H Lipgloss
The colour is pretty, but this lipgloss is way too sticky for my taste...it also makes my lips dry and peels a lot. It's a real shame because the colour and the applicator are amazing. I won't be buying anything from the range again.Rimmel London Apocalips in Bigband and Stellar
This case is more of a personal taste than anything else...The colours are nice, but I hate the fact that they don't dry into a velvety and matte finish. Oh, and the are quite messy as well. Lacquer formulas aren't for me at all. I wanted something like the Lime Crime Velvetines (which are way too overpriced at this point) and this didn't make it. I don't know what I'll be doing with them...
Maybelline EyeStudio Quads in 02 vivid Plums and 05 Glamour Brown
Oh, I have serious problems with these quads. 02 Vivid Plums has barely any pigmentation. it just doesn't move out of the pan. It's insane and a huge waste of money and space. 05 Gamour Brown has the same problem with the particularity that, I'm able to swatch the shadows, but I'm not able to work with them using brushes or anything...They are just wasting space in my collection...
Maybelline Color Tattoos in 20 Turquoise Forever and 05 Eternal Gold
I've talked about these before during a Cream Shadow Edit . I'm really disappointed with them...I had really high expectations but apparently, I had the bad luck of getting some of worse eyeshadows. Besides, there is apparently a difference between the USA&UK formula and the one that it's available in other places..not sure why. I'm still thinking if I should get or not the "Bad to the Bronze" shadow...I rather spend the extra money and get a similar shade from a brand that I trust (like MAC and Benefit)

Kiko Face 106 Brush
This was probably one of the first brushes I got when I started to like make up and trying out new products. During that time, duo fibers were in vogue so I though "well, kiko is affordable so why not get a brush from them". Bad idea. This brush is terrible with foundation - doesn't blend properly - it's super scratchy and loses bristles every time I use it. And there's a part where you can actually see the actual glue that holds the bristles to the handle. I really hate, hate this brush. Essence brushes are cheaper and way better than this. I have to admit that I got a bit of a "duo fiber" trauma because of this one, otherwise I would try to the MAC's or Real Techniques duo fiber brushes.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation (old version)
Besides the fact that I got a shade (or two) darker than what I was suppose to (because we don't carry the actual lightest shade and because stores here don't carry testers...), this doesn't really hold the oil. Actually, make it even more oily! So no, I don't like this at all. I've heard that the new version is better, but again - no lightest shade or testers available for me.
Rimmel London I <3 Lasting Finish in 045 Misty Jade
I got this last year because I really wanted a nice mint/turquoise shade and the raves surrounding Rimmel nail polishes were huge. I was, again, really disappointed with this one. The texture is really bad and hard to work with (like...bubble gum you know? ) and it takes sooooo much to dry. And when it's finally dry...it chips a lot. I'm really sad with this one, the colour is amazing on the bottle but I can't work with this...
Here are my disappointments. Let's hope that my next post gets to be a happier one!

Life Expectations
4/06/2014
There are days where I just need to share my thoughts and opinions. This will be a very sentimental and personal post...I had the time and the inspiration for it. For those who don't like this, don't worry - reviews and beauty posts will comeback next week as usual.
After answering one of the questions made on my last post and the reaction that a fellow friend had (Thank you Emi !) I felt I had to share a bit more. I'll be turning 21 this year. Back when I was a teenager I thought that if I were single at this age it would be a nightmare and my life wouldn't make sense. Pretty much because I was living according to other expectations and life's...oh and because I was still dealing with a hugeee lack of self-steam and self-love. Yes. Bullying.
Bullying is something that, until this day, I will never understand. It all started when I got my first pair of glasses. Yes, you read it right. I have sight problems since I was a little girl and it's something I couldn't run from since it's pretty much genetic - my dad, my grandparents, grandaunts, cousins , all of them need to use glasses. It's not the end of the world. But apparently to those people, it gave them the power to pick on me. When they finally understood that picking on that wasn't ok, they would choose something else (my horrible hair - which at the time, because I didn't had the knowledge, wasn't exactly the prettiest; my reading tastes - apparently liking Dan Brown at 12 years of age isn't nice because I have to read what the rest of the kids read ; liking anime and manga - because "you don't understand anything" or "it's for kids" (of course...Tsubasa OVAS are really appropriate for kids...) and a bunch of other things).
My self-steam was really low. The only thing that prevented me from getting into really bad relationships was the fact that everybody would say "you need to get a boyfriend" and the last thing I had was my really huge stubbornness (thank you grandma for that, it's a lovely trait) because I would say "no, I DON'T WANT to get a boyfriend". Specially because I was 13 and had perfect clear in my mind that I was still way too young for that.
With high school and a new environment, I finally let myself go. I had this huge crush on a boy from my English class. The problem was, I was still dealing with scaring from bullying. I didn't know how to deal with people sometimes. So I would act crazy every time I saw him - I would froze. not be able to talk normally with him , I would shiver if he walked next to me...Crazy I know, but I was really young and was also dealing with problems at home. But in the end, when I - in a very clumsy way, which I don't recommend anyone - decided to tell my feelings, I ended up being played by one of his friends.
I ended up getting blocked. It was too much for me.To cope with that, Kpop was what I would invest in. I was lucky enough, at the time Run Devil Run, Go Away and other powerful songs had been released, so my playlist was interesting. I started to get curious about their looks and I found my way into Youtube and beauty videos.
When high school ended, I was already in a transitioning phase. I wasn't that little girl that would keep things for herself. (I actually had to stand up against a bully during the last days of school. Better than that, was having friend that would back me up and say "you know what? that's wrong, you are wrong, back off" ).
But to keep good friends, bad ones had to go. I had this "best friend" that was acting...strange. You know when people say something, preach it 500 times, don't want to have it done to themselves but do it to others? Yeah.It got to the point were we had to stop. We argued about something and she wanted me to say that she was right, when I couldn't. She decided to act like a child and I let her go. Best thing ever.
With this break, I was able to explore other fields, talk with other friends and re-evaluate what friendship is, what I needed in a friendship and what changes I had to do. Nowadays I have an amazing relationship with my best friend. There are things were we don't agree and it's okay - we talk about like adults and even when we argue, 2 hours later, it's nothing. And no matter what, we are here for each other. We always know how the other thinks and reacts - which is funny, specially when there are other involved. We don't say yes to everything, but we also don't crash and make one another feel bad.
The other girl? Well...she wanted to revive our friendship but I pushed her back. I knew she hadn't grown up (in fact, she didn't at all, she still acts like before....high school is over you know? ) and that it would be a matter of time until we would be in another fight. I made a good decision and I truly feel sorry for her.
So, why am I writing this? People always have expectations and mould others around their one expectations. According to a lot of people, I'm a failure because I never had a relationship and a guy telling me "yeah, you're pretty". Guess what, I'm not.
Over the time, I found self-steam, I found that I can love myself - not in a narcissistic way okay? - I found that I have amazing and strong people in my life. I found out that I don't need to have another person to define myself. Yes, I would love to find someone to Love, don't get it wrong. But I want to do it when it's right and okay and when I find the right person. I won't be jumping to the first guys that shows up. No, sorry. I won't engaging a relationship to forget A or B. No, Sorry.
I'm a different person, I am who I am.
The boy from my high school crush? He is living his life happily. I only wish him all the luck in the world and I now know that, even if he had said "oh okay, let's start something", it wouldn't go too far. We are way too different - he likes to party and attend discos, I like to stay at home and wait for Kpop videos. I would end up hurt and anyway - with or without relationship.
(photo from here )
The previous photo resumes what I feel. (thank you Disney for creating Elsa!). I don't want to be defined by if I have or not a boyfriend. I rather be defined by who I am. I'm the girl that loves to write until late at night. I'm the girl that love to listen to music until late (on my MP3, don't worry). I'm the girl that love to read and constantly likes to stalk her aunts book stock. I like to search for Dr.Phill episodes and Documentaries about North Korea. I like to know other cultures and languages. I'm someone that has a lot to offer but I won't give it to the first person that show up. They have to earn it, just like I earn my self-steam back. I sound harsh, but I don't want to get hurt. As soon as I see that that person is playing me, I'll stop it.
During the Architecture Semester, there was this guy that I thought it was a nice one and that I might end up having something else. We started this nice...friendship? Anyway...things got strange. So that you can understand, on a Monday he would say "oh I don't like A, I would never have anything to do with her" and talk about his girlfriend; on Tuesday he would say "oh my ex this, my ex that", on Wednesday he would say how he might want to have a relation with A and on Friday he would spend his time with A and ignore me. So, on the next week I would get away from him...and than he would come after me for attention. This went on and off until after talking with a friend and Christmas break, it wasn't good. He probably didn't know what he wanted in the first place and, I shouldn't waiting for him. I let it go and it was the best thing I did.
I wanted to share this really huge piece of words with you. I'm sorry if I've scared you, it wasn't my intention...Above anything, I'm glad that I am who I am. I know that the right person will eventually show up. I just hope that he gets to understand my Harry Potter references.

My First Time TAG
4/04/2014
No, no, no. Not That first time. It's a tag where we have to answer a few questions about some first events of out lives. I got tagged by my lovely friend Shayne from Queen of all you see and here I am do this tag. I also want to answer another one that I saw at makeup, etcetera. Anyway, I'll be doing this, specially because I'm not sure about what I should post next - okay I actually know, but the bad weather has been insane here. Spring decided to take a vacation or something....
First Best Friend.
This is a hard one. Although I had many friends and girl's that I could call "my best friend"...Tercy was the first one that felt the same way. We met over the internet 7 years ago. She was a lovely girl that draw like CLAMP and did (and still does) amazing cosplays. Our relationship grown over the internet and, with her coming to the Mainland to study in College we were able to see each other more often. So yes, Tercy is the one that I can call my first best friend.
First Record Ever Bought
If I'm not mistaken, it was Las Ketchup CD. Here, Here . Today looks strange, but back in the day this was a major hit. Everyone in my primary school would dance to this. Nice times I guess.
First School Crush
It was a boy from Primary School. I know, I know. It was a soft crush. Back in the day I really didn't understood how complex relationships are and because he was my friend, I was happy. Nice times, nice times!
Besides that, my real (like REAL) first "adult" (ok I was a teenager) crush was really embarrassing. Let's say that I had the terrible idea of telling him how I felt via SMS. There there. I've learn my lesson.

First Kiss
Well, confession time : I never kissed anyone. I actually never had a serious relationship with anyone...but it's okay. There was a time(teenager-time) where I thought that all my life would be defined by if I had or not a boyfriend. If I had or not kissed this and that. Guess what, I'm a grown woman who learn that the most important person that needs to lover her is herself. I'm also really appreciative of the friendship love. Friends are like a second family, they are the ones that help me grow and feel nice.So yes, I never kissed anyone and it's okay. I'm not old, there's plenty of time for that and more. No need to cry or to feel sorry about myself.

First Celebrity Crush
Tom (Super-amazing-and-hot) Felton. there I said it! It was during my second year of High School. And yes, I still (despite the fact that he has a girlfriend D:) like to follow him. (Along with Dan and Ruppert as well! )
First Pet
My Grandmother Some-kind-of-evil cat. Me and my brother used to be really afraid of that cat...we wouldn't pet her because she would probably try to bite us. Besides her, I had a little chicken called Pató. I used to give her corn from my hand and she would eat it without hurting me.
First Gadjet
Does the VHS reader counts? Me and my brother got a brand new (at the time, and still rocking here) VHS reader from Sony. My grandfather new how much we loved to watch VHS cartoons (also known as Lion King and Pocahontas) so he got one for hit grandsons. Thank you grandpa!
(Just adding some of my favourite photos because I like to have at least one photo with each post)
First Big Purchase
Probably my laptop. It's here, rocking as much as he can. I want him to keep it. Here the only options are either Apple IOS system or Windows 8 - evil! So, until Microsoft launch's a new Windows, I want my poor buddy to last. Despite the fact that someone broke my D keyboard Key.
First Blog Post
Like....9 or 8 years ago, I had a small blog where I would post Sailor Moon Wallpapers that I used to do in Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. So yeah, that was my first blog post ever to be done. (as you can imagine, that blog doesn't exist any more)
First Make Up
If I'm not mistake, it was a tinted lip balm from Avon! My mother used to get things from their catalogues and I plead of a pretty lipstick - which was nothing more than a lip balm. Nothing special I know.
Here it is! I tag anyone that wants to do this :P
Take care, have a nice day!

March Favourites '14
4/02/2014
And here they are. Before I start to talk about them, I wanted to mention that most of this month's posts will be scheduled, because of school. HSK is coming and I have like...300 characters to memorize and understand. Although apparently my level doesn't have a writing test, I still need to understand them for my reading comprehension. Plus, the exam I have to do in order to make my college application is also coming...
I'll have two-week break but one will be for my studies and other will be for something else (You'll know in time, don't worry :P).So, here are my March Favourites.
M.A.C Sunny Seoul Lipstick
A cremesheen lipstick with a particular interesting name (for those who don't know, my bias from Girl's Generation/SNSD is Sunny and since I'm really into Korean culture, I would love to visit Seoul. Actually, I would love to do a tour around Asia!). It's a Coraly-pink lipstick and was my love for this month. It's super creamy, doesn't dry my lips too much and the colour was perfect for the good days of March.
Benefit Sugarbomb Lip Gloss (mini)
Part of the Sugarlicious kit, this little tube has been living in my really small make up bag. I really like the formula of this, since they have really nice pigmentation and aren't sticky at all - I hate sticky lip glosses!I used this alone and on top of Sunny Seoul (a really good combination!)
Benefit The Bronzer of Champions Kit
I've raved about this a lot I know. I've reached for this specially in the mornings I have Chinese classes, since it has everything I need to look presentable. Hoola bronzer, They're Real Mascara and the Creaseless Cream Shadow are the items that need special mention. I haven't done a review of this, maybe I should do one in the future, no?
theBalm NUDE'tude palette
Okay...I know that I just got this recently but I really had to mention it. The colours are just perfect for everyday and special looks. The shadows are creamy and don't crease that easily. Yes, a review will be made during this month.
Woman's Secret Roller Ball Perfume
From this month's Secret Bag. I really like the scent and how easy it is to be applied.
Here are my favourites. Thank you very much for the Love and Support!
Take care, have a nice day!*

Maybe not that Special

Sleek Oh So Special Palette
I mention this palette during my "Shadows for Spring" post but I tought that I should do a review on it.
I have a huge Love-Hate relationship with this palette. There are colours that are gorgeous to work with, but others not? Not that much.
Yes you guessed it - the matte shadows are also a huge problem here. It bugs me a bit...Yes, there is only one shadow with pigmentation (actually, doesn't have pigmentation at all) but the crumbling of the others is insane.
What this palette has, is a nice selection of colours. We have the neutrals, the colourful pinks and the darker shades for smokey eyes - blue, purple and black.
On the first row he have (from left to right) Bow , Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz and Celebrate. Are you wondering where Bow is in the Swatch picture? Remember the Eyeshadow that didn't have pigmentation? Here it is. It's even worse than the Matte shades from Au Naturel. I can't work with this shade...What can I highlight with this? Nothing. I seriously think that it's a waste of space. It was better not having it, than having it like this. Ribbon was a disappointment as well. The pigmentation isn't bad, but crumbles like there is no tomorrow. Again, what saves this palette ware the Shimmery shades. My favourite is Gift Basket - amazing to swipe across the lead and blend with a matte shade (one with pigmentation you know).
On the Second row we have (from left to right) Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up and Noir.
Besides Noir's usual problem (Sleek, you could have changed the formula you know?) I'm really sad with The Mail. It had everything to be my favourite shade along side with Gift Basket but it's so dry and chunky...and not pigmented. Boxed and Wrapped Up aren't the best but they aren't that bad either, specially if only used as transitional shades. Pamper has the same problem that Ribbon has and Organza (along side with other Shimmery shades) has a small problem with sparkle fallout.
It's not a bad palette, but doesn't like for the name. Like I said on my previous post, I'll keep buying their palettes, but only after swatching everything and doing a big research on their shadows.
Take Care, have a nice day!*
With Love,
Diana.
And Yet...another Haul?
3/28/2014
Yes, Yes, I know. Another Haul? Don't get mad...Like I said on my previous Haul, I had a few things to get because the current ones where either gone or running out...Oh and don't worry, there will be another Haul coming because I'm still looking for a Concealer and I have to get two new skin care items (You'll understand why in a minute...OTL).
Bioderma Sensibio Eye Gel
My Current Eye gel is on the verge of ending. I have like...a week of use? So I really needed a new one (even knowing that I got sample from another eye cream, which I'll be saving for a special occasion) an I had seen really good reviews about him. Let's see how he works.
Benefit They're Real Mascara
This is a Backup, I got it now mainly because of Sephora's 20% off offer. My 2 Drugstore mascaras are getting pretty dry and the Too Faced Mascara that I own is a complete mess...which would left me with a sample size of They're Real. I won't buying many mascaras (ok, I'm thinking about 2 Korean ones, but I'm still working on getting Kollectionk's 10$ coupon) in the next months so I think I made a nice purchase.
Benefit Big Easy Foundation/BB Cream
Remember the Recommendation post? I ended up getting this one because of the discount. My current foundation is ending (and sometimes the scent doesn't look the same, scary!) so, I had to get one ASAP. I've tried out twice and looks nice. It has a light coverage, but can be build and it's really light on the Skin. I still need to try it out a little more before writing any review.
Avène Clenance Mask
I've heard amazing reviews about this mask and I'me super curious to try it. Aparently it helps out skin by doing some chemical exfoliation with AHA/BHA complex. Yes, it wasn't the most affordable mask, but if it helps my skin during the SOS times, it will worth every peny. (and yes, I'm looking after a substitute to my current clay mask)
Lierac Démaquille Purete
This....Why me? I got this by impulse and I did a huge mistake. First I thought that this was an oil - it's a gel. Second, IT CONTAINS MINERAL OIL (bloody hell) . The price tag was on top of the bastard's ingredient name. I tried this and...I hate it. No, it's not good. My skin felt super horribly dried and twitching. I didn't wanted to do it so soon but, I'll have to get a Balm and a Oil Cleanser (probably from Innisfree) along with the concealers. I'm also thinking about doing a "I regret buying" post because of this products (and Avène's foaming cleanser as well. What a bad luck...two bad cleansers in a row!)
L'Oréal Ever Sleek Shampoo & Conditioner
This is part of their "Sulphate-free" range but I'm not sure if it's really sulphate-free (Let's see if it Foams or not...). I recently finished a bottle of conditioner and I'm the verge for finishing another of Shampoo so I had to get these. I'm crossing fingers here...I thought about getting The Body Shop's range but went for this because of the raves. No, I don't need another two products for my regret post.
So yeah...here it is. I'm so mad about the cleanser/make up remover thing.I'm just crossing my fingers that the TBS cleanser doesn't finish until I get the ones. My skill will cry in despair T__T
Take care everyone, have a nice day!
With Love,
Diana.
